  • I've only met one of Adam's exes and it didn't go so well.  I think I've told this story on here before, but I'm pretty embarrassed of the way I acted, but oh well.... She happened to be bartending at a bar we went to when we went to go visit Adam's parents.  We had just gotten engaged and Adam introduced me as his fiancee.  She gave me a snotty look and said to him "Oh, so you finally found someone who would put up with you"... I responded with "No, he just finally found someone who wasn't a whore."  Adam and his friend had to escort me out of the bar very quickly.  Man, I'm a biotch.  I should probably work on that

  • Oh, my! Sara, you always do and say the stuff that I don't have the guts for.

I've only met one of Matt's exes. We were at a wedding almost a year and a half ago, a couple of months before we got engaged. The ex was a bridesmaid and was making the rounds. Matt said hi to her, and they made small talk for a couple of minutes, but both of them and everybody else at the table acted like I was completely invisible. It was awkward. Adding to the awkwardness was the fact that she looked so much like me that we could have been sisters...

I tend to not be able to filter certain things... Maybe I have tourette's or something.  I can't seem to stop myself sometimes!

I'm sure they were probably trying to make it LESS awkward by kinda ignoring you since it's a weird situation, but in actuality, made it MORE awkward.  They probably just weren't sure how to act.  And even if she looked like you, you'd be the way hotter sister!!

  • LOL Thanks! Yeah, I think they were trying to make it less weird but weren't succeeding at all. It was just a rotten day for me all-around, and that didn't help.

Matt was similarly scarred by meeting one of my exes, but Andy was really kind of a jerk to him. I felt bad. I'm glad that we're not likely to "just run into" exes on either side!

I'm still friends with one of my exes and I see him occasionally but not that often. Ben hates running into him though.

  • Adam saw one of his exes at Target while we were grocery shopping a few months ago.  He wanted to avoid her the best he could b/c I guess at some point he was supposed to call her and he never did...it's some joke with him and his best friend too.

I love the name Elena, but one of his exes was named that. :(  He said no right away. :(:(
