You'll take a loss? How genuine of you. It's great how classy you Gators can be.

And my freshman year of college, FSU won their second national championship in a decade where they beat the Gators 7 times- nothing lasts forever!
Now, I think you could find classless jerks on pretty much any football team in the league. I certainly wouldn't say that FSU players have always taken the high road. What makes me stabby about that tweet is more the fact that it makes wonder HTF that kid got into college- any college.
I've never been a fan of the special rules that apply to athletes at school with big athletic programs. I saw plenty of abuses at FSU.
This.
Whoaaaaaa. This is fvcked up. You cannot sit here and judge all of us Gators by one crazy who is super pissed and can't control his fingers. What Janelle said was pretty classy, IMO. It was tongue and cheek. I'm so sorry that this one win has you all up in arms over something so trivial. Should we sit here and cite all the classless events that took place where FSU has been the guilty party? We can do that. We have the technology.
I'm a little (a lot) offended (obviously) because I haven't said anything like that on this board, yet i'm being put in a category of insane fans (who are on both sides) simply because I like the same team. You should really rethink your position.
I'm glad you responded to her comment. I couldn't think of a nice way to put anything. The generalization of all Gator fans is absolutely stupid. Give me a break.
I'm surprised that anyone is surprised at her response towards me...it's pretty typical.
I try really hard to be nice on the board; but I'm really not all that surprised.
I love how you strategically cut what I said to make it sound like I was pointing the finger at FSU. Did you learn that from Faux News?
To show what parts I agree with, hence the "this."
I think it's pretty disingenuous to cut out the part where I said that this could happen with someone on any team. Are you saying you disagreed with that part? Here I am actually being open-minded and acknowledging that the fans have no control over what the athletes on the teams they support do and you turn around and show just how futile it is show an ounce of sincerity and humility when you're involved.
And I'm also not sure I understand how you could disagree with my incredulity that someone who can't string together a coherent Tweet managed to be accepted to UF independent of his athletic credentials.
I'm intrigued by why you only "agree" with the parts of my post that you copied and not the ones that you didn't.
In regards to the ridiculous spelling/grammer issues. I am *hoping* that word were cut short to fit his tweet in. Twitter only allows so many characters.
I found the tweet hard to read because the spelling/grammer was so horrible, but I was hoping it was just for lack of space.
IDK, I could understand an "R" or a "U" to shorten things, but the complete lack of subject-verb agreement, in addition to the general incoherence and misspellings, makes it hard to believe that this is an individual with even a modest grasp of english syntax.
I know, but I was being nice. Hoping. Making excuses I guess.
Kendra, stop over-reacting. It's not disingenuous. Anyone who wanted to go back and read your whole comment could simply scroll up.
Yes, it is disingeuous because it takes what I said completely out of context. Context matters. Fox News said that anyone who wanted to hear the full content of Shirley Sherrod's speech to the NAACP could have independently pulled up the video and listened to it in context. I'm sorry, but I don't buy that cherry picking what you want to from someone's statement so that it confirms what you want to believe shows integrity or an interest in the truth.
I'm a little bit baffled by the pearl-clutching at Blossom's post. No, her response was not something I'd get behind because I honestly think neither UF nor FSU has the monopoly on toolbelt players, but I don't for a minute think that you are above posting something just as base yourself if it was an FSU player tweeting that.
I personally never get fired up about sports rivalries because when the team wins it's not because I was on the field playing. I'm not one to boast when my team wins because it's a reflection of them, not me. It's cool to see your team win and not as cool to see them lose, but the fun part is supposed to be watching them play period. Sore losers and ungracious winners alike kind of spoil that IMO.
Apparently she thinks insulting Fox News is the same as insulting me? That or my ears will start bleeding if I hear anything negative re: Fox News. Not sure which.
What does "JFC" mean? I keep seeing this and I have no clue what it stands for.
FWIW, I take it pretty seriously when people use cut and paste to twist and distort the full meaning of someone's statement. I understand that this is just a message board, but if one think it's ok here then where does one draw the line? As a lawyer I am certain that Janelle has been well educated on the appropriate methods for quoting someone. Creating a straw man out of my argument disrespects my position and is childish in my opinion.
The fall back argument whenever certain people disagree with me is to say that I am "overreacting". Attack the substance of what I say, not whether or not I have a right or reason for saying it.
