5. What city are you currently living in? Any plans on moving: We currently live outside of Philadelphia. We hope to move next summer when he can transfer stations. Not exactly sure where yet.

7. What is your "one year plan"... We've encountered a roadblock this year, so the plan is to save up more money towards a house and possibel travel.

7. What is your "one year plan"... He's going to get laid-off by the end of the summer, so in the meantime, we are saving and he's job hunting like whoa. We're planning to get a dog, and (once he gets a new job) a car. We also plan to travel a bit if at all possible. At the very least, we'll visit our nieces in FL for their birthdays (Feb. and Nov.)
8. "Five year plan"...Hopefully buy a condo/house, but the Boston market makes that seem like a pipe dream. Possibly try for a baby, but we'll see what happens there. And a big five-year anniversary trip - either Hawaii or back to Paris.

so now I'm unemployed and constantly applying for jobs (I've applied to over 80 places in two months, sigh). Jason is a warehouse forman and a forklift operator.
4. What hobbies do you and your husband have? I like to crochet and just do crafts in general, and Jason likes to play baseball and football with his friends. We love to play video games together.
5. What city are you currently living in? Any plans on moving? Frederick Maryland, my hometown. We don't have any plans on moving unless we have to move back in with one of my parents (If I don't find a job within the next month or two), but if all goes well, we'll be staying in Frederick.
6. Do you have any pets? We have two cats; we each had a cat prior to moving in together. My cat's name is Bruce but we call him Bitty, and he is a long haired orange cat with white paws and white under his chin. Jason's cat's name is Sweetheart, and she's a short haired tabby cat, but is a 'munchkin' cat which means her legs and paws are super tiny; it's so cute. We're totally obsessed with them.
7. What is your "one year plan"? Right now honestly, we're trying to survive month to month financially, so I can't even think about a year from now.
8. "Five year plan"? Pretty much the same as above; however, we'd love to own our first home and no longer rent within 5 years. Fingers crossed I find a good job soon.
9. What would you like changed on this board to make it more fun and post worthy? I like the idea of surveys and stuff like that; I also think if people posted more stuff about crafts/projects/home decorating on this board it would switch up the posts a bit.

I finally moved up here this past year. I grew up in southern CT, and I can honestly say I LOVE it up here. Northampton is a cool area and so is Boston. I don't regret making the move.

We're hoping to move to Boston someday, maybe as early as this summer. MIL went to UMASS Amherst and my in-laws love the area, but FIL works in publishing, so being near Boston is better. (They're originally from Iowa, so they think MA was totally a step up.)

I grew up in Springfield, and I used to love going to Noho when I was in high school/college. I spent many a Wednesday night hanging out at Pearl Street for their local band night - think basement club scene in Singles, heh. I'm pretty sure it's changed a ton since I was there last, roughly a million years ago, but it's such a great town. South Hadley is nice, too. I was *thisclose* to a job at Mount Holyoke before I moved to Boston, and I was really excited to live out there.

3. You and your husbands occupations I'm a teacher (substitute for now) and Mike works as an instructional designer for a nuclear power plant.

5. What city are you currently living in? Any plans on moving? Bloomsburg, PA for now but Mike commutes 1.5 hrs. each way to work, but may get transferred closer sooner so whether we move or not is up in the air right now.

3. You and your husbands occupations I'm working for now as basically an administrative assistant at a shipping company, with a job hunt for a K-12 school guidance counselor to use my masters certification. Jeremy works as an account manager for a corporation.
4. What hobbies do you and your husband have? I like to read, watch tv, and im learning to knit, and i used to paint and want to get back to doing it and Jeremy likes to play wii, play softball and cook
5. What city are you currently living in? Any plans on moving? We just moved to an apartment in Wrentham MA after living apart for a year of our 5 years. We're not looking to move anytime soon, when I find a guidance counselor job it'll be alot more solid of a move.

I like the board and while it can be slow I think once we are over the holidays it will pick up more. I also think that we have a lot of lurkers so if those lurkers posted more it might be a bit more exciting I guess. :-) Other than that I am up for doing things to encourage more conversation.

I like to learn to make things this week I'm going to try to make my own mozzarella, I knit, bake, garden, etc. Pete really likes art and enjoys taking art classes. We go to museums. We're big dreamers and like to travel and talk about owning a farm / moving to Europe etc.
5. What city are you currently living in? Any plans on moving? We live just north of Concord, NH, no plans on moving. I really like NH and though I'd love to be closer to family and have more land, we're a little stuck in our house and have no equity.
6. Do you have any pets? Two dogs - Max and Juno. Max is a newfoundland-retriever mix and rescue - he's a goofy adult puppy. Juno is an Akita-husky mix and rescue - she's our smart, sweet, but stubborn "little dog".
7. What is your "one year plan"... Recover from the wedding financially. We spent way too much money. I'm also writing a chapter in a textbook, designing a few online classes, and need to just go take the test for my specialty certification since I've been doing it for five years.
8. "Five year plan"... I'd like to have one job and lots of time to do my hobbies. I'd also like to have a nice cushion in the bank for bad times. No kiddos for us.
