Hey, you know what board is scary?
Re: Hey, you know what board is scary?
Is it safe to assume you won't be posting u/s pics on that board?
That post was very...shocking.
11/11/11 = 5 years. Woah!
This happened on TTCAL, giving rise to the TTCAL 6 months+ sub-board (known 'round these parts for the butt-shaking elephant gif). Then there was SO much angst about who "qualified" for the new board--did you have to have multiple losses? how many were enough? were you allowed to post much if you'd just reached the 6 month threshold? Were BFP posts permitted and from whom?
I hate to criticize those girls too much, because they were super helpful to me in my (thankfully quite brief) stay there, but damn, did some of them go foffing nuts. Pregnancy and all things attendant thereto breeds craziness.
Ha. I will not be posting there at all. I mean what better person to answer questions than someone who has been through it but what do I know. I think that post caused them to shoot themselves in the foot because there are a lot of ladies that will not post there anymore.
On the flipside, now there will be biitching that the ladies got pg and just up and left and forgot about them.

Ha! I never read that entire thread until now. I was basing my post off just the first 10 post and I had stopped reading. Wow, they are crazier than I thought, and that's pretty crazy. Damn.
Link?
Although I know nothing about getting pregnant so I normally don't understand half of what is being said on the TTC boards.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
I can't find Lyse's post (but would love a link!) but I did read this one about celebrity pregnancies: http://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/47666827.aspx
Share the wealth? Calling Kate Hudson a slut? And maybe Giuliana Whoever can do E! News because SHE'S NOT OUT OF HER FVCKING MIND WITH BITTERNESS???
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
That thread was educational. I didn't know about 90% of those pregnancies.
And holy jeebus, there are some big effing siggies over there.

I am assuming this is the post

It's nice of them to identify who you're allowed to talk to!

11/11/11 = 5 years. Woah!
I have been trying to get pregnant for almost 5 years with PCOS and Endo. I have had multiple treatments, clinical trials, and a surgery to no avail.
I hate the IF board. I felt no connection to them. When a friend tells me she is pg, I am the first one to buy them a gift. I want a baby because I love babies, why would I not love it when a friend brings a child into the world? I don't get the bitterness.
Now, episodes of 16 and Pregnant make me a little ragey, but that is a different story.
So I'm reading over and over, "It's a surprise? Really? You don't know how babies are made?" Ummm.....if you use precautions and fall into the very small percentages of a pregnancy happening wouldn't you be a bit surprised? I wonder if they just can't fathom that not everyone is actively trying to get pregnant? It CAN be a surprise and happen totally unplanned... *scratches head*
eta: I found my all time absolute LEAST favorite Nest shortened word: EMBIES. omg it's an embryo. EMBRYO. *shudder*
and eta: This was in someone's sig line.
Wow. I cannot imagine: Changed jobs and moved to a new city for IF insurance coverage
AH HA! Now it makes sense. I didn't know Chrysallis from a hole in the wall when I went over to 12-24. But, I know she's all AP and I don't really have much in common with her. Someone posted something like, "If you're one and done I just want to know why- not judging- just curious". I answered. Someone wrote something like, "I just love my darling baby so much, I can't imagine loving another child as much as this darling baby. I want to give all my love to this one amazing miracle, yadda yadda, more about this perfect specimen of life". (That was NOT one of my reasons for being one and done). Chrysallis quoted it and wrote "I think I love you". I thought it was a weird answer to begin with then Chrysallis's answer even more odd. Now it all makes sense.
Yes the PAIF board is relatively new. They made that because people who were on IF who got pg, didn't feel like they were actually successful until they had a baby in their arms.
