Re: What is everyone's job?
I want some of your jobs instead of mine!
I work for the state as a Child Abuse Investigator. I have been doing it for 9 years and I am burned out. There is way too much work and I haven't had a raise in 5 years. The past 4 years I have made less than I did the year before each time
I can't figure out what else to do. I most likely need to go back to school but am unsure in this economy and scared to take out a loan.
Any suggestions? I have a BA in Psychology and minor in Criminal Justice.
You work for NASA??!! That's frikkin awesome!
bloggity blog
Yes it is. Sometimes when work gets stressful and not fun I remind myself that the stuff I work on is really cool. It helps to tell others about what I do and the space program and get revived energy from them.
This post is so fascinating
But with all the new siggy's, it's taking me a few seconds to realize who everyone is!
I'm wrapping up my Master's/starting my PhD in aquatic ecology (think "marine biology" but I currently work in freshwater systems). Grad school is rough, but then I remember I'm actually doing what I 'dreamed' of when I was like 6. In high school I realized it was a silly dream and that I should do something more realistic, like get into med-school, ha! But in under-grad, an internship popped up with a really well known fish researcher, I got the spot, and since then I feel like I've had this all handed to me. Been working my butt off though.
My Master's was studying a fish in Ohio lakes, while my PhD is going to be the effects of, dare I say it, climate change (not political, but looking at historical shifts), and the potential conditions of ohio lakes in the future (simply put, lol).
That takes guts! How is your business going?
