Re: Ugghhhh (vent) *Updated*

  • Alyssa- GREAT idea sending Larissa down to take of BSC MIL!!!

Kristen...I really agree w/ Marcy...you guys may need to approach a discussion around what if she decides /thinks she can stay longer...

Maybe you and Bryan CAN get her a hotel room...here's why...she smokes, you BOTH (assuming he backs you on it) don't want it around the baby.  Plain.and.simple. Yes she is his mother, but she smokes. You and he cannot have it around Margot. Maybe it's far fetched...but maybe it could work? If you get a hotel room around 100-150 a night, even for 7 days, it's worth it to me for sanity sake. We're here for you!!!

I forget what her home life is like, or if she even has a house to go to but....why doesn't she just go home?

She hasn't worked in years and blew through all of her retirement savings and has been living with BIL for a few years. BIL has been trying to get her out of his house for a while now. We told him not to let her move in and he didn't listen. Anyhow, he finally got her out, so no she really has no home.

Wonderful. I'm really hoping this 2 weeks doesn't last longer like Marcy said.

I have a bad feeling about this.

I remember this story now. I'm so sorry! You need BIG hugs right now. I'm really hoping that she doesn't try to stay past 2 weeks.

Ya, there is no way this is happening! She is definitely getting back on that plane after 2 weeks!!!!! If she even tries there will be words to be had..... I don't care if she hates me for the rest of my life, it's not happening and DH knows this!

He told me last night that he knows he owes me BIG TIME!! I said "you owe me way more then big time!!!"

On a positive note, I just looked into the Airline Pet policy.... she can't bring her dog without a health certificate from the vet, which I'm pretty sure she does not have, so I'm hopeful that maybe the dog and/or both don't come! haha

Anyhow, thanks for all of the virtual hugs! I had a little meltdown this morning talking to my Mom on the phone. I ate soy ice cream 2 nights in a row and it did not sit well with Margot at all. She was soooo inconsolably fussy for hours and hours and spitting up all over the place like crazy, just like she was when I ate mac n cheese. So, I'm pretty confident I need to cut out soy too. Which doesn't surprise me since like half of all dairy sensitive babies are also sensitive to soy. Anyhow, between feeling like I'm poisoning my baby and dealing with this MIL situation, I'm about to lose it! I hate seeing Margot so upset and in pain :(

Aww don't feel this way.  Most people in your situation probably would have quit BFing.  You should be so proud of yourself for sticking too it.  And if you decide that BFing isn't working out in your situation and Margot can't get adjusted, that is alright too.

Have you tried putting her in the Moby?  Maybe that will help her being close to you.

Oh, you thought I was coming for you? I just want some Florida sun! LOL, j/k. I'd be great at eviction.
  • Yikes!!  Good luck Kristen.  I'm sure you can survive it... as long as she's out after that time, I do see the obligation that you & your H feel.  I would try to start making some scheduled plans for at least every other day so you have your own time away from her that you will definitely get.

You are getting mucho positive karma points for this one!

Seriously. Soy ice cream? It's causing her to spit up. I would have been drunk. Don't be so hard on yourself, you're handling this like a champ!

Thanks! It always helps venting to you ladies and getting your support!

I feel a lot better today because she has been feeling good yesterday and today. No more projectile spit up and crying nonstop! Although it brought her rash back a little more just as it was starting to get better. It just sucks knowing that she is in so much pain because of something I wanted to eat. Hopefully, that is it and we can just move forward now!!!!
