i wearing black and gold today in support of VCU! then tomorrow we're going into downtown richmond to watch the game...my Mom works for VCU and she got us final 4 tshirts to wear
It's going to be tough because we'll be working with victims of domestice violence and sexual assault. I'm such an emotional person so I'll need to be able to compose myself and not let my emotions show. I also need to find a way to cope with hearing their stories, and not letting it get to me.
Oh, god, it's so hard. Before the homeless shelter I did a clinical program where we represented victims of domestic violence in family law matters, and that was also so hard in terms of not taking it home.
Those experiences actually, I think, have made me a much better lawyer, because I have some more life experience to relate to people with.
