Re: A Day in the Life

  • I'm gonna say JA, because I think I would give anything to see tumbleweed cross my path.

  • I would switch with the Chicago Nesties..we visited twice last year and loved it both times. I think I would really enjoy living there!

  • DD - I've always liked the look of Alabama for some reason. It's appealing.

  • I didn't put info (it's been crazy) but MEmily wins my vote hands down no questions asked.

  • I'm gonna say Ortiz because I really want to go to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

ETA: If no one picks AR, I'm gonna cry! I worked REALLY hard on my pictures! ::pout::

This. If I had to choose, it would be Chicago. It's a lot like Boston in terms of the size and culture. And it's a fun city with nice people, and lots of great restaurants and things to do. I have had a great time every time I've been to Chicago. And even tho it doesn't have any ocean, Lake Michigan is pretty damned cool.

  • DD!  Huntsville and the surrounding area is actually really really really high on my list of places I want to move.  I can't seem to get D on board though, boo.

  • Either Smo's MN (I live it there!!!) or neuner's CO. I always wanted to visit!
  • I'm gonna go with Riss/Sara in Hudson Valley. Matt and I have been thinking about NYC but somewhere outside would be even better! The pictures look lovely.
  • I'm perfectly content where I am, but if I had to pick, I would probably pick Nooner or Kari's CO. I have distant family members out there (my dad's cousin that has lived out there since before I was born). I've always wanted to go visit. haha

  • I wouldn't mind living in DC or Boston. Boston for the accents, and DC for the diversity.

  • I would have to say Colorado.  It seems like such a beautiful state and I would be nervous to live near an ocean.  I know, one of my many irrational fears.

  • I'm going with DD. If it weren't for being so close to my whole family, I would totally live in the South (but in a state that is on the ocean).

I LOVE Walmart. Walmart keeps the entire Arkansasn economy going. Without Walmart we would all perish!
  • Yay for people picking Alabama! I'm shocked.

I'd choose Memily. I'd love to live at the beach, and her tiny little beach community just sounds really nice.

  • Out of the places everyone lives, I'd still stick with the DC area but live closer to DC like Mary.  I'd also love to live where Rach lives.

  • I love where I live. We MA girls gave you all a great guide as to what to see when you visit!  MA is a great place (Turtle "lovers" and all)!

I lived in DC for 10 years and I loved it there, but for something new I'd pick Memily's area. I've always wanted to go to the Outer Banks.

  • I'd probably go with DD in Alabama as well with SMo in the Mini-Apple as a close second!

Ames - the low cost of living is very very tempting! It's sooo bad here - in my town, the CHEAPEST house on the market right now is $370,000 and it ain't that nice!

Want me to tempt you some more? Our 3bd, 2ba single family home (about 1200 sq ft) cost $88k.

Also, MB and I had a discussion about a gallon of milk. She said in MA it's about $4 a gallon. Here, it's about $2.50.

Ditto this. I like the idea of being outside the city but still being able to get at it with relative ease which is basically what we have now living in the Chicago suburbs.

Massachusetts also sounds very tempting with all the Niners around!

I can beat that... 1400 sq ft for $65,000. My area is SO cheap. You can get a 2000 sq ft home for less than 100K

  • I pick the Outer Banks. I love the beach!!

It was really close between Salem and NC; I'd love the history of living in Salem, but it's the lack of snow that would seal the deal.

  • I would pick Emily as well.  DH and I have actually seriously considered moving to NC. I am getting sick of winters, and I am a beach girl at heart.  I grew up in a town on the South Shore of MA known for its beaches, and I miss it.  Right now I am about and hour and a half from the beach.

Ditto, MB...although, thankfully - my family gave us a sick deal on our house - it's ridiculously more than that.

Holy wow, I'm moving up north!!!! We aren't bad here, but if there is a house for sale for that cheap then it is in a neighborhood that you would want bullet proof glass...I'm just sayin'.
