Re: Say Anything part 27
You & me both.
Uh oh. Will you be in the office every day, or just not be able to keep them at home while you WAH?
I have no idea. I'm trying to tell myself not to worry about it for now until I'm told about it. Maybe I can have an exception since having remote workers was initially set up because of me but there are others now. If it does happen then I know for a fact a few things will occur:
1. DH will look for a new job
2. It will sadly put our plans of expanding our family on hold.
3. I will have to tell our VP, Ops that initiated the policy request that I will be unable to attend her Italy wedding and be her MOH.
PS - I have not told DH I saw this.
Crazy Christmas Kids!
That all blows. Hope it all works out for you.
That really sucks, I hope everything works out.
When we can have a second kiddo largely depends on when we can afford daycare for a second. It is so expensive, I have no idea how people do it.
Ditto. Which is why we haven't had #2 yet. We can make the two payments, but it will be tight, so we only want to have to do that for a short time. But, we need to have #2 while #1 is enrolled in his current school so that we can ensure admittance. So there HAS to be some overlap ;-)
Cindy, I'm so sorry, especially about the potential impact on your family planning. That sucks.
SuziG, agreed.
MrsMGR, I understand your strategic thinking. You'll be great at managing the logistics of two if you're already thinking like this!
Cindy -- So sorry. I'm praying it all works smoothly.
Almond -- Nope, I don't give a flip.

I'm having a very hard time staying awake at my desk today. I have twice found myeslf almost dozing off. I do not know why I'm so tired. I have gotten my regular amount of sleep lately. I'm most definitely not pregnant. DH's jet-lag must be rubbing off on me.
And the heel broke off one of my shoes. It's hanging on by the sole, but I'm having a very hard time getting around.
Sweet mother of all that is holy. I could sell DS to the circus right now and probably not shed a tear. I, on the other hand, have cried twice because he seems to be sent here straight from Hell this afternoon.
Is it bed time yet????
1.) How does my child have so much energy after being up most of the night puking?
2.) Does she not know that this is a pretty terrible time to be getting a stomach virus?
3.) I think we should all have a countdown ticker on us somewhere that will alert us if the rest of the family will get this.
Blech.
And this is totally a day where the Starbucks 2 blocks from my new house will be dangerous.
it's kind of difficult not having an outlet for work-related vents.
i can't really do it here, since it's a public forum.
i don't have any coworkers, so that isn't possible.
it seems like when i try and vent/complain with other photographers, it turns into an "oh well i'd never do that because i'm better than you" kind of conversation... whether in real life or on a message board.
then again, i guess it does force me to put my big girl panties on and deal with it on a daily basis, so there's something positive in that i guess.
my photography blog
Yep I've kind of got the same issue. My office (the entire project) is two people, me and my boss. Three if you count our grad student. And what I do is so obscure that most people don't really understand my job so they go "Oh you're a historian!!! That's SO cool! Tell me about _______" When I talk to DH about some research-related vent he goes off on some "I saw on the history channel" tangent and when I have an editing/publishing related vent his eyes glaze over almost immediately. Le sigh. **pulls up big girl panties**
I've definitely got the same issue!! If I "vent" to anyone about my job situation I am currently in, it looks like I am bragging.....which I am not. I am super stressed out about "things to come" and wish I had an outlet.
Totally sucks to want to vent about something and have someone pull attitude like that.
A very good friend of mine is a photographer that we use often. I worked for her for awhile. I tell her to vent to me anytime because I know I'll use her services anyway and I won't tell anyone.
So I say go find yourself a friend who won't tell and doesn't care. Then vent away! Helps if you buy her/him coffee.
DH just asked me if I was going to finish the ONE piece of pizza I am eating for lunch.
really? you want me to share my ONE slice of pizza?
Do you see this belly? HELL NO
that sounds like fighting words!
ps, love your sig pic!
why thank you!
HAHA he must have gone into starvation mode and lot his mind.
=( How sad. I hate regrets.
**hug**
I went down to the vending machine a few hours ago. Sadly it was out of Oreos. Then it was apparently broken anyway because it wouldn't give me anything I wanted except my money back. Sad I didn't get a treat but I guess it's good someone is looking out for my waistline even if it's not me.
that's like the M&M jackpot! i always look for the more roundy peanut ones in hopes that it's missing the peanut on the inside. more chocolate = less plain peanut = yuuuummmm
I'm sorry I disappointed you. I'll do better in the future.
And for the moving stuff. ugh.
I'm annoyed about leasing stuff, so I feel your pain. It'll be better soon.
