Re: Say Anything part 27
Oh SPM, you better choose wisely.
She would care what you do in your house too. She always knows best.
hahahahha! Bring her over, I'll put her in her place.
This (except the vaulted ceiling part). We not only painted the ceilings, we also scraped down all the ugly popcorn stuff. It took all day to do most of our less than 1200 sq ft house, but that was because it was scraping twice and painting twice, waiting for the paint to dry between coats. So, no, not all day to do one ceiling. Nor was it bad. I was the painter of the ceilings when not pregnant and it wasn't bad at all. I'd totally do it again.
Also -- Do it before the floors. It's a HUGE PITA to cover all the flooring. And even then we got paint drips all over and had to clean it off.
My new house is very close to yours. She'll be there tonight. You should come over & makes lots of comments about how the ceilings will look so nice painted & how it's not that hard of a job. Especially when you have a sprayer & don't have to worry about getting paint on the walls or floors.
Absolutely heartbreaking. I cannot even fathom. Prayers.

Take that, MIL.
WTG SPM for making the wise choice!
Tomorrow is DH's last day to drive to Houston for work.
Last day of 2 hours on the road.
Last day of driving 100 miles a day.
Last day for him to miss out on dinner and bathtime.
Last day for him to only see the girls for about 1 hour a day.
I'm so, so, so excited. So excited I could cry.
I have the biggest smile reading this. I'm very happy for you guys too.
That's fantastic! Congratulations to all of you!!
Well today sucked....
My parents dog (my childhood dog) died today after a wonderful 18 year life.
And at the end of the day I found out my contract would not be renewed for next year. I'm a first year teacher and therefore was let go. It sucks but I'm very excited because DH says I can be a SAHM
Yay!
That would make those first couple of weeks of nursing - where letting down is toe-curling painful - even worse. Slap yourself woman for even suggesting such a thing!
On an unrelated note - over the weekend I had the strangest dream. M told me her pee pee hurt. So I went to check out to see if she had a rash or something and her labia were swollen and purple. I called DH in, panicking, and as I investigated a little further something started peeking out from therein and out emerged a penis (but it wasn't like a penis... it was supposed to be a penis in the dream but what I saw was more like a long flower stem emerging with a little tiny bud and petals of a flower at the end. My baby girl was revealed to be a hermaphrodite - with a very strange little penis and all her girl parts too.
What the hell could THAT dream be all about?

MB: I think that tops any crazy dream I've ever had! LOL Craziness! I would hav woken up very paranoid and confused. haha
I'm really sorry--that sucks. And didn't you get teacher of the year or something like that this year?
Good attitude though!
Starting the day off by growling at your kid because they won't lie still on the changing pad really causes the whole day to start off sh!tty. I am so sick and tired of this "phase" where changing clothes and diapers should be qualified as an Olympic event. It takes me three times as long in the morning to get him dressed and I hate being mad at him all morning.
I feel your pain.
MB - I missed the part about that being a dream until I got to the middle where you mentioned dream again. I was freaking out wondering what the hell made her bruise herself! Crazy dream.
Oh man, I've been there....I now bribe Joe with gummy vitamins to let me get him dressed.
I hate starting a morning with a fight with the kids. Reagan and I had it out this morning over socks. She seemed to have forgotten how to put them on.
Crazy Christmas Kids!
I bribe my Joseph with gummy vitamins do to do his breathing treatment. Le sigh.
