I'm getting annoyed with people.  My sister's bachelorette party is this weekend.  I booked rooms on Expedia and could cancel up to Tuesday.  Tuesday I sent out one final email (you know how much of a Type-A planner I am) and heard nothing.

Until today.  So far, we're down 3 girls.  I'm going to be a huge b!tch and not give them money back.  I can't cancel ther rooms and get money back, so I don't think it is fair to charge everyone else more to cover them being huge flakes.  Plus, it's not like we're talking $100 here, it's $23.

I think that's completely reasonable & not bicthy at all.  Even if it were $100 I would feel that way.

I had some of my sisters friends cancel the DAY of.  I still charged them.

    People suck sometimes.

  • You know what you don't say to someone who got up at 5:30am with a snotty, sniffly, teething mushroom cloud?

You can't wait until 8:30 to wake me up! 8:30 is when I leave!

  • I have a meeting with our CEO at 2:30 that I desperately want to cancel because I am sick. We are doing a recording for our offshore employees and it will take about an hour.  The problem is that I can't go 2 minutes without coughing or blowing my nose.  Unfortunately this is an issue since we don't have the budget to get my hacking edited out.  Alas, I cannot cancel.  He will have to make that call when he sees/hears me.

    Blech.

So you're his mother too and responsible for making sure he gets up for work?? Hmm

DH sets his alarm for 345. He usually gets up about 430. So for 45 minutes I reset his alarm every 8 minutes. One day I'm going to give him an enema with it and see if he can hear it then.

  • Seriously? I'm leaving this morning to go out I'd town and DH is sick. I'm going to still go but I'm really afraid that C will be sick by the time I'm home on Sunday. Ugh. Hopefully it is mild...or some of my friends may be getting a call!
  • I picked up a pack of 4 waterguns at Walgreens today.  DH and the kids have been in the backyard chasing each other and playing for an hour with no end in sight.

Best $5 I have spent in a long time!

  • I am so fed up with my children fighting with each other I just lost my schmidt.  All day, every day Avery beats on Joseph and he bites her.  All.EFFING.Day.  While in the bathtub tonight, she snatched something from him, he grabbed her foot and bit the daylights out of her toes and before I could jump in, she was belting him across the face.  I lost it.  I don't think I have yelled at either of them like I just yelled at them.  I know Joseph has never been in so much trouble.  I removed them from the tub, dressed them and put them in their own beds (they usually sleep with me or both in Avery's bed).

I have since calmed down and gone in to speak to each of them separately and explain yet again that hiting and biting are not ok and that they need to stop being ugly to each other.

I feel so guilty, but damn.  Avery is covered in bite bruises and Joseph flinches when she raises her hand for anything.  I am over it.

  • I am convinced the Expedia hires only customer service rejects.  I swear, the 5 people I've talked to this past week have got to be the biggest idiots I've ever worked with.

This is completely insane.  I finally lost my sh!t with them and I've had it.  I quit being nice and trying to just ask for what I want.

I will never use them again.  The money saved will not be worth it.

What happened? I've never used Expedia before. When I book hotels we always use Priceline.

how hard is this to do?  how do i make it a point that it's not acceptable to leave an empty roll?  HELP ME.

if you're old enough to have a cell phone, you're old enough to change the ever loving toilet paper roll.

this is especially crucial when members of your household can't drag aunt flo all around the dang bathroom in search of toilet paper.

I haven't figured this out either.  It seems NO ONE (including DH) in my house is able to change it out except me.  I keep a spare roll in our bathroom (the toilet is in it's own little room) for this reason... Otherwise, I'd end up sitting there yelling for DH to bring me some. LOL

i want to know too... and why it was like mid day on saturday before you were having a mimosa...

I booked a few rooms for the weekend, but one of them was for 2 nights.  I called Thu to change it to Sat only.  They called the hotel to see if I would be charged a fee.  I wouldn't but the rate for Sat would increase to a point where it wasn't worth it.  I told them just keep the room for 2 nights and not change anything.

We got there Friday and they had not called them back and the hotel was sold out.  I spent 45 min on the phone with some idiot who wouldn't give me her name, but assured me when I called after checking out the refund would be made.  I talked to three people today, lost my sh!t on two of them, finally got a manager and told her that if it wasn't refunded in 15 min I was turning it over to the CC company.

Sure enough, it was taken care of.  One guy put me on hold so long I think he must have gone to lunch.  One person screwed up because she called the hotel and told them that the room was in the wrong persons name and they got confused.

I'm conflicted, though, because they also gave me a $50 voucher for future use.  I never want to use them again, but I do want to use their money...

There is a line you cross where you go from being annoyed but nice to downright mean.  I crossed it this morning.

Who knows.  I'm certain that's what happened.  Jason thinks that because C's clothes are smaller he can put more in there.  HELLO - one load is the same size, no matter HOW many pieces there are!!!  7 jeans and 25 t-shirts are the same, dude.  I've been telling him for years that he's doing it and last night I think he finally got it.

I told him that now C can dress like him.  He's got some ripped up shorts he wears around the house that drive me nuts.
