Ha! Week before when I went to the Dr DH said that morning it looked like he had beat me because my eyes were so swollen and then later that evening I just looked high as hell.

Be sure that you throw out everything makeup related that has been near your eyes. I thought I had but realized that I had used a make up brush for eye shadow that I had not thrown away. That's the only way I can imagine I got it again.

On the man cold - I'd vote to stay as long as you can in the hospital. : )

Crap. I forgot about throwing away my make up. I usually only wear eye liner and mascara, both of which I *just* bought... as in I used them for the first time on Saturday. Blah.

Yep - I got to use my new ones last week for 3 days and will have to toss them.

I thought that selling on Craigs List would be easy. It's annoying and the only emails I have gotten are scammers. Grrrrr..

I usually put serious inquiries only and it seems to help with scammers.

on another note *I spy a ticker!*

For CL, I make sure I put the following and it really seems to help with scammers:

    1. Local transactions only.  I will not respond to any inquiries that refer to a shipper, courier, etc.

    2. Cash only

  • I am so tired of DH complaining that he's tired. He gets more sleep than I do, yet he complains non stop about it.  He just doesn't "feel rested."  Dude - you're never going to feel rested again!  Get over it.  Also, I know this is completely irrational, but when we get the same amount of sleep at night AND you take a nap during the day, falling asleep on the sofa drives me NUTS.  We sit down to watch one effing show on DVR and 15 min in, he's out.  Forget renting a movie, it is a waste of money.

Mine does the EXACT. Same.  Thing.  Drives me BONKERS!!!!!  He can sleep for 9 hours straight, while I've been up in the middle of the night with a child who has had a bad dream, and he'll still complain about how tired he is.  And he'll yawn reallllllllly big and make a noise at the end (you know, a totally exaggerated yawn) just to let me know how very tired.  Granted, he does sometimes have good reasons for being tired, but usually, I don't feel sorry for him.

Mine also complains about not being rested.  I keep telling him to go see a damn sleep specialist or get over it (but that last part I say in my head...).  Men.

  • I'm really trying to not be judgey of a girl on FB who has moved her child, around the same age as Sam (I think younger by a month or so though), into a toddler bed already... And is all excited b/c now she can move forward with potty training.  Really, so young?  I don't get it.  I can't imagine Samantha being in a toddler bed yet.  Course, she followed all of that saying that she found her on the floor of her room at 5am with the TV on.... Indifferent

No freaking way.  I swore last week Cooper would try to climb out of his crib because he suddenly started climbing on things more, but he didn't.  I couldn't figure out what we'd do - he is SO not old enough to be in a toddler bed and there is no way I can imagine PT him.

G went into a toddler bed at 16 months because I thought I heard an intruder (yeah, I'm paranoid and crazy) in his room over the monitor. I nearly died when I opened his door and he was standing in the middle of his room. I think I screamed and slammed the door because I wasn't expecting to see him there. Embarrassed

We did, however, save the potty training nightmare for 27 months.

Geez  Darva, just tell me next time that I am rushing things.

C is already in a toddler bed but only because hes a monkey and climbs out. He also peed in the potty yesterday but that was because I caught him peeing on my floor for the 5th time in 3 days. I am by no means potty training yet but when I catch him peeing on the floor I am sitting him on the potty.

Kimmer: that's totally different!  Climbing is a whole different story. :) She has never mentioned her lil one being a climber (and we've talked about our kids and funny things they do quite a bit)...

Course, she has a daughter Micaela's age as well and lets her wear make up.  Maybe she's just all for them growing up way faster than I think they should. lol

How stupid is that? I was prepared to see a 6 foot tall kidnapper, but not a 2 1/2 foot tall toddler that was actually supposed to be in the room??

Thankfully, Samantha hasn't been able to get out of the crib yet.  Not to say she hasn't tried.  I have a crib tent ready and waiting for her if she starts.  Although, I have a toddler bed should we get to that point.  Kaitlyn needs a new bed, so her toddler bed will just get passed down to Sam.  I'm just not ready for my baby to be so "grown up" yet.  :(

Ha!  I didn't know there were moms out there who got excited about potty training.  Isn't that like getting excited about a root canal?

Does your friend have multiple children?  I'm just wondering.  I know we put it off the second time as long as we possibly could. We were much quicker tranferring to the toddler bed the first time around.

Umm, Charlotte is 3 years and 2 months and *cough*is still in a crib*cough*.  She likes it, she's never tried to climb out, and right before my dad passed away, we had changed her bed into a toddler bed...and she asked not long after he died to convert it back into a crib.  I think it was too much change for her at once, and she feels safe and secure in her crib.  I am probably the only mom who has a 3 year old still in a crib...at least it's not harming anyone ;)  She has asked us to change it BACK into a big girl bed once we move into the new house, so I bought her new "big girl" bedding as a surprise.  Hopefully this time it will last...

It's her third kid.  We both have 3 girls, all around the same ages. lol  I don't know, I just don't see why the big rush I guess.  Especially based on my experience with my older two who didn't potty train until they were almost 3.

  • Yeah, our new neighbors definitely hate us. Our painters sprayed her flowers (yard of the month), garden bench, some brick, her patio and into her pool. I didn't know they were going to use sprayers, and it was a windy day. We apologized profusely, our contractor had everything pressure washed, offer to replace her flowers (she refused to let them touch them) and I believe ended up giving her a gift card to home depot.

Almost daily we walk past her on our way to the park. I say hello and she talks to Tracey, but not to me. Just now I went out to get the garbage cans and she was out there watering as usual (their bill must be a zillion dollars a month). I said hello, she did not turn around, but I figured she maybe didn't hear me. I then dragged the very noisy garbage can back up the driveway and she didn't even turn her head.

Oh well...good thing everybody else is nice!

I moved Reagan at 18 months but I needed the crib for Abby. Abby hasn't been moved yet and doesn't try to get out. I do think she would be fine in a bed so we may do it this summer. I also haven't pushed potty training with her though she is obviously ready. I did push with Reagan and it was not the right time for her and it was miserable for me.

Nurse told me it was pink eye a few weeks ago and I have the meds for it. What I woke up with on Monday was exactly the same so I am assuming this week. I've also heard that allergies are really bad and it can cause an eye infection. The nurse told me that really almost all eye infections are a form of pink eye and that is just a nickname.  Abby had "pink eye" last month or so but it was never actually pink.

  • crib/toddler bed:  meh.  connor slept in his crib until about 3 1/2, then he got his big boy bed.  we never did the toddler bed because his crib was not a convertible (was left over from claire).

he could climb out and everything, but the bed was on the lower height and bolted to the wall, so we kind of didn't care. it's not like he was too long to fit in the bed or anything, so you know... we were busy planning a wedding, lol, it wasn't the top priority.
