Wednesday AW/Confessions/Open Letters

AW:  6 months until the wedding and I don't have much left to do. Though who knew that booking the drunk bus would take up so much of my time?

I also submitted my application for an MSW program.

Re: Wednesday AW/Confessions/Open Letters

  • I have a big AW to share! Chase is potty trained!!!! I took off 3 days last week and stayed home alll weekend with him and after day 1, he was completely potty trained. Of course he refused to poop for 3 days, but he finally worked that out. I'm so proud of my little boy. I'm also very excited that even though it will only last for a few months, I will only have ONE kid in pampers!!!!  (Sorry for those that have already heard about this a million times on FB)

  • I confess that I think the whole nesting phase is a giant crock of sh!t. The thought of having to make dinner every night makes me want to slit my wrists and I can't even imagine wanting to cook meals to freeze for after the baby comes. I finally got the majority of the things I received at my baby shower put away but only because I HAD to. The rest of it is still sitting in my dining room. Our house still looks like a disaster due to basement construction and I just don't give a crap about cleaning it. I'm pretty sure I'm the laziest pregnant lady, ever. Oh and laundry? Don't even get me started with laundry. I'm officially a dirty slob who wouldn't mind living in my own filth for the duration of this pregnancy. I'm completely fine with that.

  • I confess that I am not yet KU but am in TTC mode. Doc would like to see me birth the next kid before i blow out 35 candles on my cake. I'm surprisingly content with the fact it may not happen and and tiny bit of me doesn't want it to. After visiting a few adoption agencies I'd almost rather go that route. And I apologize to Kel, I didn't mean for my comment to sidetrack your annoucement post!!

  • I am on a raging bender today.  This week.  I am so crabby and the times I am not being crabby or feeling sorry for myself, I want to cry.  My . has not come yet, but I have been experiencing PMS and hormonal *** for like a week and I cannot take it anymore.  The worst part is I cannot remember for the life of me when my last . was, I know it was sometime last month but I can't nail down the date.  I can just *feel* it coming but nothing.  Ugh.

  • I don't know if this qualifies as a confession or AW, but I am planning to go off the BCP after I finish this pack. We're not going to be TTC right away, but I want to give my body time to adjust since I've been on it for about 8 years straight. And I'm kind of terrified that my body is going to freak out.

You never know. I went off BCP about 8 months ago and my body went right back to the way it was before I was on it. Which included the awesome cramps, zits and headaches. But still..no adjustment time at all. Best decision ever though.

Ugh, this is what I'm worried about. I've gotten so used to it being short and fairly painless on the pill.

I was on BCP for well over 10 years and it took almost a full year for my period to return. However, I never had regular cycles so I'm sure that had something to do with it.  The doc gave me a low dose hormone pill to get it started and I've been good ever since.  I also have noticed no change except for maybe more PMS symptoms like crankiness and back cramps.

  • I took BCP for 11 straight years.  It took a few months, but the awesome cramps, heaviness and zits were back.  I never had any skipping once I stopped BCP, but my cycles still seem to be a bit out of control (one was 25 days, one 28, you get the picture).  With BCP . was every fourth Wednesday like clockwork.  Now it's anyone's guess.

    See above rant.Crying

Besides this period of rage, I love being off the pill!  I feel like I know my body better.

  • Holy hot ass!! Jean recommendation time I tried the special fit levis: I got extreme curve for my thick thighs. They make my butt look great. I feel way less frumpy in them then the higher rise gap jeans I have been sporting. The size I think would be a better fit irratated my csection scar so I did size up. $59 bucks was totally worth it plusalso they come in lengths so I got a shorty mc 30"

Did you get fitted or try them on in store?  I remember you talking about them before but I can't remember.

I went off BC in Feb - my cycles returned as normal, but yes, I got the acne, cramps, heavier flow, etc. again like everyone else mentioned.  Now if only I could lose the 5 lbs or so that I gained from taking the pill!  Haha.

As you probably guessed from my post yesterday, we are no longer TTA.  I am excited and nervous.  AF came yesterday, so as soon as she leaves, it will be condom-free fun from here on out.  Party!!! I haven't told anyone IRL.

  • I confess all the TTC and baby talk makes me feel behind, even though we are not even close to TTC.

Don't let it make you feel behind! Just be on your own schedule and enjoy your baby free time. Embrace it!

Silly but there is a quiz thing on their website that you answer how your body looks etc. I got extereme curve (although i wonder if i could do one curve down but they didnt have the wash in that size) and then I picked my prepreg size and my post size to try. They are low rise so my pre size rubs on my scar so I am only keeping the size up. I am still meh over my body to try them on at the store with pretty young sales kids circling.

  • I want to AW my awesome husband who got a huge promotion and raise at work.  I am so proud of him!

I know I say this every year,, but as the weather gets warmer I am always reminded of my passionate loathing of Crocs, even on kids.  They make me cringe whenever I see them.  Gross!

Good luck to all you TTCers!

Congrats to your H! That's awesome.

And I am SOOO with you on the Crocs. They're like sweatboxes for your feet. Aside from what they look like.

  • Congrats Eagles!

  • My AW: I feel like I make "Magic person growing juice".

My kid is EBF and is growing and thriving. I feel like a champ at every weigh in/measurement. She's 26" long (95% for height) and 14 # 11 oz (75% for weight).

Hah!  I said to DH last night that I am a total rock star for doing this for six months so far.

Later on, DH actually said, "You know, when (???) we have another, you are going to have to breastfeed again.  I'll do whatever it takes to help you."

Also, now that we are at six months, we started solids  My AW is that I was absolutely correct -- solids suck and are stupid.

ok, so i generally don't AW this (i just obsess and talk nonstop about it) but I made it to 6 months EPing. I'm weaning now and last night I pumped for the first time in 60 hours. I'm totally proud of myself.

solids are stupid. i have no idea what to be feeding him.

also, i want to move to philly. this is already known tho.
