B&M

I start class today.

Kind of glad in the sense it will give me something to do. I was already hitting that stage where I was quickly running out of things to occupy my time while DH was at work.

But, also kinda bummed at the same time. Hopefully I can still enjoy my summer.

  • Thanks Summer!!  They say the bumps are benign, but that they will probably get worse if we don't remove them.  Hopefully all goes well.
  • Did any of you nesties wear your wedding band with your E-ring before the wedding?

My SIL still has a YEAR before the wedding and is already wearing hers. I just find it weird.

On a daily basis?  That is kinda weird.  The only times I wore both were when we purchased it and then maybe once in the apartment.

We had a great time... got appetizers and drinks at the Holy Grail in Frisco and even went for some awesome cupcakes afterwards.  So.There.

    I second this!

Tiffany- Remember when we were having that conversation at the couples G2G about people who try to argue about prices at the grocery store and stuff that rings up wrong?  Yea....we got behind one of those yesterday...

Ugh we were behind someone like that last night too! DH was getting so frustrated; he's not a patient person.

It doesn't really bother me, I just stand there and read my magazine.

I normally go grocery shopping by myself, but I made him go with me last night and man he isn't patient about stuff!

  • I am back from vacation.

Any big news last week? I would go back through, but that's A LOT of stuff to read.

I have a coupon post that I am going to do this afternoon when I get home. My DH made fun of me for taking pictures of things I bought for people on the internet. I told him he was just jealous of my mad skillz.

ETA: Sara - Got your FB message as I was typing this...great minds!

I am very impatient at the grocery store.  I just want to get in and get out.  I would always do self-checkout if I could.  But DH hates self-checkout.  The cashier was new so I felt bad for her but she had to call the manger over the speaker thingy like 3 times before he came.

I agree with your DH. I don't like self-checkout if I have more than a few items either. It seems to take a lot longer than letting a "professional" do it. Plus half the time those stupid machines are quirky anyway.

  • I HATE my hair. I seriously cried the whole 30 minute drive to work because its so awful.  I used to go to a place in Waco occasionally, and Aveda salon. Thinking of going back, because the guy really knows hair. We "broke up" because he did my hair at my wedding, each of my girls paid him individually, and then my MIL paid him. It was three girls $25 each, MIL paid him $200 for her hair and the three girls and a tip, MIL was PISSED, DH brought it up to him that he was double paid and he gave us back $50. Should I go back to him? He is really expensive too (well is in my opinion, about $150 for cut and full highlight)

  • Lauren- Sending good vibes to you guys!

Summer- That is weird, I may have put mine on every few months at home for a few min but never out in public or for extended periods of time.

Tiffany- I really want to try a couple g2g I am just not sure how much Matt would have in common with the other husbands.

Leslie- I clipped a few coupons this Sat!  I am still wondering how I will save on groceries as all the coupons I got were household items or health and beauty.

My B&M is that my throat is on fire and I got to work this morning to realize I forgot my laptop at home. I was going to go back home and get it but there were problems with the new phone system we installed over the weekend so now I am sitting here on a loaner laptop.  It is not going to be a productive day.

Oh no. :(. I'm sorry you hate your hair. There's noting worse. I've been there!

I wouldn't go back to that guy. Sounds like he tried to screw y'all over! But, if you can get over that, it may be worth it for the peace of mind knowing you'll like the outcome of your next appointment.

I don't even know where else to go, its hard to research salons. My hair is severly damanged. I wish there was a miracle pill that would just make it grow fast!

I love my hair guy...the salon is called "Travis Salon", it's in Uptown. My stylist's name is Tim. It's $60 for a cut :)

  • My B&M is that I have to go to Planned Parenthood today...the one in Garland at that!!! My regular doctor screwed me on my birth control (loooooong story)...so now I am making an emergency appt. at PP to get a refill....I DREAD it from all the horror stories I have heard :(
  • Today is my first official day of summer vacation and I can't help but feel guilty that I'm not going to work or doing something else. I've got some work to do around the house but nothing major.

Sometimes, I think I don't deserve the vacations we get and feel guilty. I'm sure in a couple of days I'll feel fine.

Aw, that really stinks, I'm so sorry you hate you hair.  :(  I'm not sure where you live exactly, but I go to Sarah Lynch at Dear Clark in Uptown.  She is AWESOME, but her cut is $65 and I'm not sure about highlights.  She is absolutely worth it, though, IMO.

Yes  We had a great time!

Mrs.Lynch: Did he know he was being double paid?  Maybe he just thought the girls were tipping him?  I don't know.  If you love him and your current hair situation makes you cry, then it might be worth going back to him.

    Lauren: Sorry about Gypsy.

B&M: Nothing really, just tired and I hate Mondays in general.

  • Holy Mackerel you guys pay a lot for a haircut!
  • Summer: DH wouldn't let me wear my wedding ring before the wedding.  He said if I wore it, then there would be nothing special about it after the wedding.

Renee: You work with kids everyday during the school year. You deserve a summer vacation.
