OL Tuesday

Dear bed,

I reeeeeally wanted to stay in you this morning. But instead I'm going to workout like I have the past week. I will get a routine back! Working out in the morning feels so great, knowing it's out if the way. Of course getting up is the hard part. Don't worry, I'll see you early again tonight.

Love,

Determined to get into a routine again after 3 weeks off

Dear 12:30,

Hurry up! I'm ready for my pedicure.

Re: OL Tuesday

  • Dear Feet and Toes,

Yes, we need a pedicure.  Maybe we'll take care of that.

    Love,

    The person at the top

    Dear Kitties,

Mommy no longer has to get up at 5AM.  Please stop trying to get me up.  If you let me sleep later, we'll have a wonderful summer!

  • Dear Nesties,

Chelsea has blogged me and my sister's mini b-pic shoot on her Girls on Film blog!  I'm so excited.  I love them!

-wife that is going to have a hard time waiting until October to show them to DH-

    Dear Grapevine PD,

Do you really think standing on the side of a highway that is under construction and walking out into traffic and pointing at the car you want to pull over it the best way to go about it?  I do agree that you should be there enforcing the reduce speed limit (to a point) but I don't think pointing is the way to go.  Clock me, get on your bike, turn on your lights and then I will pull over.  If I'm not looking directly at you I am either (a) going to hit you or (b) not going to pull over.  Thanks for trying though!

  • Dear Dana - I will look when I get home! Exciting! Also, the NRH cops do the same thing at the 820/Holiday Ln bottleneck, especially on Fridays. They look for sticker violations while everyone is trapped at a standstill, which of course only causes more delay. - Leslie

Speaking of 820 - Way to be closed at Rufe Snow this morning and causing a literal 10 mile parking lot. Thank God for the side roads. - Trafficked out Leslie

Dear Workout last night - You were amazing after doing no runs/workouts for a full week. It's odd how a person can go from a complete couch potato to a workout craver in 5ish months. - Leslie

  • Leslie, the FTW cops use to do it on Western Center at Fossil Creek when I worked over there but it was a stop light and traffic was a little more backed up so traffic was slower.  I don't like them doing it on 121/114 because it's a freeway and it hasn't been at a standstill when I have seen the cops doing this.  I drove by them yesterday at about 48 MPH with no traffic really.  They are really bad during lunchtime and there isn't traffic at all and then they step out into traffic.  I'm waiting for the worstTongue Tied

  • Dear Nesties,

My MIL invited us (via facebook) to celebrate her 50th birthday with a group of 45.  It will probably be another we pay for our own food and they still expect a gift (like it was for his dad's birthday last year).  I'm not gonna lie.  A big part of me wants to go and not bring a gift or card like they did for our wedding.

    -Still a little bitter

  • Dear Principal at awesome school right by my house,

Please hire me. I would love to teach at your school. The interview just made me want this job even more. I promise I am a great teacher, my students love my class, and I would happily work at your school until I retire.

Also please tell me yes or no asap, as I am going crazy waiting.

    Thanks

I would be bitter too. I have some family members who feel like you should always bring your own food to their BBQs (yes, even meat) but when they come to your house you are to feed them. Not surprisingly these are the same people who brought no gift/card to the wedding. I would just go and because I am too nice, bring a card - but get it from the Dollar Tree, then you are only out 50 cents. Stick out tongue

LOL, love it!!!  That's where it would come from!

I guess I became more bitter when we recently went through our post cards for the guest book and the quilt from the rehearsal dinner.  Those didn't even require for them to pay anything, just sign it and they signed neither.

  • Dear Nesties,

I probably won't be here much today.   I saw every hour on the clock last night.  I'm tired, I'm grumpy, and it's probably best if I just talk to as few people as possible today.

    Ditto the Dollar Tree.

It's so weird how similar our IL people are.  MIL signed neither of our things and it's probably for the better.

  • Dear Lauren,

I can certainly understand where you're coming from.  We didn't get a card either although they at least paid for the RD, begrudgingly so.

  • Jaymi - Probably true, seeing that FIL wrote on FB prior to our wedding that it was going to be "hoity toity".

    Dear Tiffany and Brianna,

I can relate I had a night like that last week and did not make it through the day.  I hope you ladies get some good rest tonight!

    -nestie who can relate

    Dear Bachelorette girls,

Like Wendi, I cant wait to discuss the show was so good and so frustrating.

    Dear Allergies/possible cold,

I hate you!  I feel drunk when I get up and I am not a happy camper, thank god for having tomorrow off even if it means working Sat.

    Dear Last name,

You ARE getting changed tomorrow, even if I feel like crap and have a big zit on my face, at this point new name trumps pretty picture!

    Are you kidding me?

  • Bobbileigh - Exciting on the name change!  It still takes some getting used to for me.  In fact at the G2G a couple weeks back we were talking about it, and then I still signed my check with my maiden name (my bank card is in my married name).

    Are you kidding me?

Nope, I wish!  It was in a status update from DH's sister about how DH decided to have no kids (his niece) at the wedding.  She was pissed and rambled about how they weren't going to come and one of her friends asked why? was it a no kid wedding and the dad replied "probably not hoity toity enough".

Yep that's it.  After telling all of my friends and family no kids, we want to exclude the niece because she's not up to our standards.  Please.

  • Dear ladies that couldn't sleep last night --

I'm in the same boat. I was in bed at 9 pm, and had even taken a pill to help me sleep. I ended up finishing the book I was reading, and then being up a few hours after that besides. The worst part? The book was horrible. I love the most recent books by Sophie Kinsella (the non-Shopaholic ones) but HATE her books as Madeleine Wickham (this was the second one I've tried; I don't know why I tried again nor why I finished it).

--Nestie who doesn't want to read a "funny romantic romp" that centers around lying and cheating on spouses (and never getting caught nor feeling that remorseful).

  • Well, I'm not going to lie.  That's a pretty poopy thing to say, especially when they know you're going to see that.

I signed mine in my old name as well, but my bank card is still in my old name.  We went up there to change it and I have yet to have a new card! :-(

But I still get confused and am not used to the new name.  When people ask me my name I almost always say my old name!  It's hard to break the habit!

I agree.  It sucks because as they say, once the words are out there you can never take them back.  Especially since he never apologized after I called them about it.

As much as I wish it wasn't, I feel that everything they have said or done will always be in the back of my mind which will affect the future relationship with us and any potential grandchildren.
