OK newbies / lurkers, listen up! :)
Re: OK newbies / lurkers, listen up! :)
I don't if I ever did an official intro or not... so here goes!
I'm Lisa (26) and DH is Jim (29). We got married 5.22.2010 so I guess we technically aren't newlyweds anymore. We JUST bought a new house (as in have lived here for a week) and thus my life is still in boxes! We have two furbabies (below) Collins and Ziva who are a blast and I always have crazy stories about them. I work in finance and DH is a government stooge (his words, not mine..... he makes 911 work).
The TTA plan was until we move.... so CD1 of TTC should be Wednesday or Thursday (with the stress of this month who knows how off I'll be). I'm definitely nervous about going off BCP but you guys have made me feel better about i!
ETA: And we live in Nebraska
I posted a little bit awhile back, but took a break while DH and I decided to hold off on TTC for a few months. I'm Amanda (26), DH is Steven (31). We got married 6.20.2009. We're about to start TTC this summer.
I was diagnosed with PCOS in March, but I'm very unhappy with my Gyn, so I'm currently looking for a new one. I plan on charting as soon as AF shows up in a day or two (just finished my Provera -- boo!). Right now we're trying to find out if I'm ovulating before we decide on next steps. Planning on an appt with a new Gyn in July to really get things rolling!

Here's another re-intro (I think I did one last week? Maybe the week before? Who knows
)!
My husband and I are both 25 (will be 26 in July/Aug) and have been married for three years in July. We adopted our first fur-child, Tar (short for Tarheel!), in 2009 and that's who is pictured below
. Right now, we're living in Delaware but hope to move south within the next year or so.
Right now we are TTA until August/September but will be trying for our first. I went off BCP in March and have been charting and temping since then.
I've learned a ton from you ladies and can't wait to keep learning and sharing. Thanks for the warm welcome so far! I've lurked on other boards before but you guys are BY FAR the nicest bunch I've found.
I posted an intro a few weeks ago, but I'll go ahead and post another one.
I'm Michelle and I'm 23 (almost 24). DH is 26 and we got married on 5-22-2010, which seems to be a pretty popular anniversary date around here! DH is a car salesman and I'm a full time grad student pursuing my PhD in clinical psychology. We're both native Texans, but moved to Ohio last summer so that I could attend school up here. We're currently TTA to enjoy time as a couple, save money, and get through some schedule constraints with my schedule. We definitely have decided to start TTC next April/May, but we are considering TTC for a few months starting in July/August. I'm really ready to start this summer, but DH goes back and forth. I've been off BCP for a few years because I was having some side effects and I was pretty bad at taking them regularly, so hopefully we will be able to avoid the "adjustment period" that seems to go along with getting off BCP. I started charting and taking PNV this cycle just to get in the habit and to get to know my cycle. I'm a huge sports fan (my favorite teams are the Dalas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Oklahoma and Baylor football teams, although I'm currently cheering for the Mavs in the NBA finals). I also enjoy reading, movies, cooking, baking, and decorating, and I've recently taken up knitting. We have one furbaby, Kona (3). I'm sometimes not convinced that I didn't actually give birth to her, because we really do treat her like our firstborn child.
Although we're currently TTA I'm really excited to be a part of this board! I feel like I've learned so much already. It's also reassuring to have support from others out there in my position and who have already started TTC, as most of my friends are not married, and the ones who are are not TTC, so they don't exactly "get" my baby fever. I'm really bad about posting frequently, but I'm going to try to be better about it. Looking forward to getting to know you ladies better!
Long time lurker finally coming out!
My name is Brandi I'm 28, DH is Jason also 28. We were married on 08/08/09 but have been together from 10 1/2 years. We live in Colorado and have a cat named Bailey.
I went off BCP in early 2011 and I'm currently on Cycle #3. First cycle was 35 days, second was 56 days with no ovulation detected. I'm pretty sure I have PCOS but haven't been tested yet. I have almost all the symptoms including acne, facial hair, difficult time losing weight, irregular cycles etc.
I'm charting using fertility friend and have read TCOYF. I've been lurking for almost two years and have learned so much from you ladies and have enjoyed reading each of your stories.
Whew! I'm so glad to finally come out and I'm looking forward to posting regularly now.
Eeek okay, I'll come out of lurking!
I'm 22, soon-to-be DH is 25. We are both students - I'll be pursuing my Master's in Counseling starting in the fall. I also work as a youth and family casework intern, and waitress on the weekends. We are getting married in 19 days and plan on TTA until sometime next year, probably in August or September 2012. We can't wait to be parents, but we would like to save more money and hopefully buy a house as we are currently renting one and it is a bit small for a growing family.
I've been lurking for quite a while (posted occasionally a long while back) but always felt weird about coming out since we aren't quite married yet. Hope I fit in around here, you girls are an awesome bunch!
Hi! My name is Jackie. I am 27, DH is 26. We were married in Sept 2009. We live in the philly burbs, have two furbabies, one yellow lab and a black cat, who is possibly devil spawn. We have been together for over 11 years.
I went off BCP in august 2010. We have been TTC since Feb 2011. Ever since starting to TTC, my cycles have been really irregular. But we're still hoping there is nothing wrong since we're just starting this process.
I like reading everyone's posts because it's nice to hear that others are going through similar experiences as myself.
I did a Intro a couple weeks ago but I will do another one.
I am about to be 28 and my DH is about to be 30. We have been together for 5 years and married for one year. Today is CD1 of our first cycle trying! I am excited and nervous at the same time. I have been told I might have issues TTC as numerous biopsies have been taken from my cervix and it can create scar tissue, etc. I have been charting for one month prior to this and have learned a lot from all of you.
I work in the Oil and Gas Industry. I pay the rich basically. My DH works in the parts distribution industry. We don't have any pets as we are not home nearly enough to take proper care of them but I do love dogs. We are cyclists. Typically on the weekends we spend 3-6 hours a day road biking to different places, etc.
I don't post much as I try to keep my internet time to a minimum at home and my employer just blocked thenest ... ooops! But i'll try to be around more.
I did an intro a while back, but haven't posted too much. Up until a few months ago we weren't offically TTC so I didn't feel comfortable posting.
I'm 30, my husband is 34. We just celebrated our one year anniversary in May. I've been off of BC since February. I haven't seen AF since April. I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago so at my annual last week my obgyn decided to send me for testing - which I will go for on Wed. I'm on FF but stopped temping in April. I need to get back in the habit.
I feel like I already know so many of you ladies since I lurk...a lot. I'm hoping now that we are up to the point of trying that I will feel more comfortable adding to the conversation.
I did an intro a few months ago, but what the heck
I'm 27 and DH just turned 32 last Saturday. We got married in September of 2010, and we've been NNT since February, but this cycle is our first official "BIO at O time" cycle. So, here I sit in the 2ww, excited but cautious...
I'm a special education teacher, working with 5th and 6th graders in a public school, and I'm about halfway through my last course for my Master's degree in special education (I cannot wait to be done!!) DH works for a company that sells lawn equipment and is a personal trainer outside of his normal work hours.
We have 4 furbabies--a Husky and 3 tiger cats-- along with 6 chickens and 4 baby pheasants, for the time being.
I love chapstick, Nutella, and my Care Bear (which I have slept with since the wee age of 3), and I hate mean people, raw tomatoes, and insomnia.
Hi all!! DH and I just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary over Memorial Day weekend, but have been together for 6 years. I'm 24 (25 in August) and DH is 25. I'm a physical therapist at a hospital and DH is a software developer.
I've been lurking on here for a few months, every since baby fever hit!! We aren't quite ready to start TTC, we will probably keep TTA until at least August 2012 so we can travel a bit more and save some more money. I may be changing my SN here because I don't want anyone IRL to know when we do plan on TTC, so I'll let you know when/if I do. Glad to be out of lurkdom, looking forward to chatting with you ladies!!

I did an intro the other day but I'll reintroduce for those that might have missed and think I'm randomly posting now
I'm 31 and DH is 32. We've been married for 8 months. This is cycle two TTC but my first charting. We're from the Philadelphia area but live in the Annapolis area now. DH is a paraplegic and while there is no real reason to believe that it will cause any issues getting pregnant, it's still a concern. Looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

I am newish. I am 28 (for one more week) and DH is 32. We are TTC our second child. We have a 2 yr little girl. We live in Ohio. I am a licensed school counselor and a licensed social worker. And I just got a job as a server until something better comes along. DH is graphic designer/ videographer. He does a lot of freelance so he can watch DD while I work.
I went off BC in September. I am just learning how to chart and started using fertilyfriend.com
Thats us in a nutshell
I'm Diana, 37, and me and my DH, 40, have been together 9 years and married 6. We've been TTC for about 15 months now. I went off BC in March of 2010, did some workups with my gyno in Sept., got recommended to a RE and did all the lovely workups with them, and did our first IUI in January, which resulted in a chemical pregnancy maybe 7-10 days long. Second IUI = BFN. Third IUI cycle we ended up having timed intercourse because we were out of town. Another chemical pregnancy - about 3 weeks long. I recently started modifying my diet and doing acupuncture, and we're having a meeting of the minds with our RE to determine if we need to change anything else in our plan.
I'm hoping that our baby-to-be is just waiting for me to leave my job next month (leaving a gov't editor job to build my practice as a certified life coach) so I can be more stress-free and take care of myself better. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway!
What kind of counseling????
I'm Ashley DH is Jeremy we're 26 and 28 respectively. We live in MA. He works for Staples Corporate, I work for a shipping company but got my Masters in Prek-12 School Guidance Counseling and am in the middle of the job hunt! We got married Oct 10, 2010 and have been together almost 6 years.
We're TTA for now, I just completed my first cycle off bcps (30 days and fertility friend says i O'd finally!) we want to pay bills and not be renting before we start ttc.....so we're just hanging in there for now. I'm open for a TTA buddy as Its gonna take awhile for us to get there and I wanna make it through with someone LOL
I do this every time you girls ask
lol I need to stop being a thread killer here....every time i Post it kills the thread LOL love it!
