If I ever have a kid, it isn't going to be named until it comes out. I'm way to indecisive.

Ditto. Sometimes I like a name for a while then change my mind. I just hope I don't ever change my mind after the kid is born and officially named. Wink

I know we're going to go back and back when the time comes, JT is so picky and we're both indecisive and he has these stupid ideas of what our future children should be named.  I'm going to be pretty stubborn about the middle names.

Mine is dawn and my  mom's is too and I would like to keep that up if we have a girl and my dad's middle name is Nelson, which is my grandfather's last name (my grandparents never go married) so I would like to keep those names going.

Also Claire, if you want a Minna I say go for it, no one can lay claim to a name.

I suck at this whole thing. The only name I truly like is Suraya. I don't care for popular names or traditional names. I personally think traditional names sound old lady-like. Then I think of the child that probably would hate the name later in life because it sounds old. I am definitely no help here. I'm gonna be screwed if I ever have another girl. Maybe I can name her Suraya #2 and change her middle name.
Hey if michael jackson can recycle kids names, so can you!
  • Our other 2 choices when Brynn was born were Ellie (possibly short for Elizabeth) and Ryleigh (Or Riley couldn't decide on spelling).

    Other names I like are

    Ana
    Ava
    Addison
    Reagan
    Becca

And I'll also chime in to say that Brynn didn't have a name until she was almost 2 days old. I don't think I will ever regret her name. It is perfect for her.

  • I didnt name Lacey till like an hour before we were discharged from the hospital.
  • If Levi would have been a girl, he'd be Hannah Elizabeth

    Other girl names I love:

    Samantha Danielle
    Lydia Hope
    Delaney
    Mallory
    Avery
    Aubrey
    Grace
    Sophie
    Lily
    Kennedy
    Mackenzy Rae
    Megan Taylor
    Bridgette
    Brooke
    Ruth  (Ruthie)
    Ruby
    Alexa

I really hope my next LO is a girl.

  • I love the name Emma Jane (Jane is a must as it was my grandmother's middle name)... but somehow I don't think DH will let that happen. He's kind of eh about Emma. I also like the name Kylie, but I don't think it's a good name for an adult, so probably not. Sorry, I'm no help!

  • Oh I also love the name Marcella Jane, however, with our last name and the fact that Marcella could sound like Marsala, that wouldn't be good! I also would want the nickname Ella and not Marci. I don't know how you moms do this! And picking a name isn't even the hardest part! Ah!

  • Loving all of you that like Samantha:)

I love the name Ella, friends of ours have used it, but she's alomst 3 so by the time we get around to having a baby I'm sure she'll be in HS!

I also like Alexis, DH not a fan. Honestly I agree that its not something to discuss until there is a reason to have a discussion.

I also laugh at people "claiming" names, whoever has the baby first gets to pick a name!

One of my coworker's is from Vietnam and all her and all her sister's (I think there's 6 of them) all have the same first name!!  I think it's part of their culture.  Either that or their parents weren't very creative.
