Re: Thursday Randoms
Sorry, my bad. I came back from lunch and must have read through the exchange with you and Diana too quickly and connected some dots that weren't there. Sorry!
We're doing pretty damn well at making the randoms as long as yesterday! :-)
Got your PM and sent an email.
Wow, we are.
I'm totally slacking at work. My bad.
I always want to key cars that are double parked.
I know! Sometimes I wish I drove a total piece of crap so I could park next to those people practically touching their car so they have a really hard time backing out without damaging their car.
I don't feel too bad about that. I did get an email from a VP today calling my work "impressive."
Also, I felt that it was my duty to contribute after demanding to be entertained.
Nice! Great job!
A less common form of double parking that I find *extra* annoying is when they have attempted a pull-through, but the ass*end of the car is hanging over the other spot, rendering it unusable.
I just want to rear end those cars and push them into the proper spot.
Confession: I suffer from some big time road rage.
Another thing about people in parking lots I don't understand: What's the point of driving around the parking lot 9 times looking for a spot 3 from the door or sitting with your turn signal on waiting 10 minutes for a little old lady to pack up her groceries and back out so you can have her parking spot? Why not just park in a readily available spot and walk? Are people really that lazy? It's not like they're saving time by driving around or waiting.
Love this. :-)
Yay for you for going! Double yay for bringing the kiddos.
When I first read this I thought it said "a rally that supports martial arts equality". I thought, "huh, I never knew people cared so much about karate enough to have a rally".
Reading comprehension fail.
The Anglophiles in the group will appreciate this:
With all of my travels across the state lately, I managed to sneak in an afternoon with my mom on Tuesday. She served me afternoon tea! She made biscuits with clotted cream and jam and of course, tea. My mom did a study abroad in London a few years ago. She wanted to make up for us not getting to watch the royal wedding together.
That is really cool.
Dup.
Today is d.r.a.g.g.i.n.g for me. I cannot believe it's only 2:30.
HA! That's a different group entirely, I think.
They're rallying tomorrow too (it's Gay Pride week). I think we're going to try to be there then too. If anyone wants to join us, it's at Rosa Parks circle at about noon. We're going to pack a lunch, and eat there after.
That's so cute. I don't know what an Anglophile is though.
Totally random thoughs: I think handshakes are so interesting. There are so many tiny deviations to the way people shake hands, and oftentimes they can tell you a lot about a person. Case in point:
I just saw someone who I once interned for but whom I haven't seen since 2004. We shook hands. He gave me the ol' two-handed handshake and continued to hold onto my hand with both hands as he made small talk. Meanwhile I was thinking, "Dude, let go! Give me my hand back!".
What do I think that says about him? He thinks he's a politician, a schmoozer, and a charmer.
What do I think that says about me? I have a problem with people in my bubble and don't like intimacy (or at least not with long-lost bosses).
It's the opposite for me. Probably because I slacked Tues and Wed, so I have to hurry up and do a ton of stuff before my boss makes it back to the office tomorrow.
D&M, congrats on the loss. I wonder how much you 3 zillion stones weighed.
You guys... for an hour today, I was thinking we were honestly in a presidential election year (like, a weird time warp in my head) and was shocked that everything is so behind. So red in the face.
I have my last session of this current class this Saturday. And then I'll be 5/16th of the way through the program. Ye-haw!
Weiner is officially done.
Thank you CNN alerts.
Aw, man, I would love to meet you there for lunch (or rallying) sometime, but this week is rough for me.
Anglophile=enthusiast of all things English
That is so super sweet!
