Re: AW/Whatever Thursday!
Yay Michelle--so jealous! SF is Ben's favorite city and he has done Napa also. I'm sure that will be fantastic!
Oh yes, and Kathy, I am so sorry I forgot to mention I will be thinking of you tomorrow!

Just do it!
Yay for an improvement in your credit score, Stephie.
Oh my gosh Leslie on your step-dad. Is this the evil step-dad you speak of? What did your mom do when she found out he did this to you? My mom has threatened it in the past so I try to look at my credit report the 3 or 4 free times a year to make sure it's okay and she hasn't pulled anything but I haven't done it since we bought the house last year.
We'll be thinking of you tomorrow Kathy. I hope you get good news. And soon.
Julie and Lauren- have fun on your trips.
Michelle- I've always want to do a trip like you are doing so I'm jealous!
Tiffany-
We need a new mattress. I was really wanting to get a Tempurpedic but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon. FB how much you're asking for it and details, please.
Yay that's awesome! :-) And sorry, I have never heard that about the shoes. I always wear the same shoes :-/

Oh, I LOVE San Francisco. We stayed there for 4 days and we stayed in Sausalito for 2 days and drove to Napa for a day.
My favorite thing to do was biking the Bay Bridge, I highly recommend it. It.was.awesome.
Back when I ran a lot, I read that a lot. It seems like the professional & serious runners do that for a few reasons: 1. to let the shoe "rest" (whatever that means) 2. It doesn't wear out as fast (Duh, you are wearing two pairs of shoes 1/2 as much) 3. Gives it time to air out and dry. Your feet do sweat.
I never did it. Unless you start running miles every day, I don't feel it is necessary. The only exception would be if your feet sweat a LOT and you find your shoes damp when you go to use them the next time.

Michelle, Stephie, and Jaymi, thanks so much! I am trying my best to stay calm but am really getting nervous. Hopefully, we will get good news. This specialist that we got referred to is not much of a talker as he does the ultrasounds which makes stressful as he is clicking and measuring away and we have no idea what he is looking for or if it's good or bad. Hopefully everything will go ok tomorrow. At least it's first thing in the morning at 7:30AM.
Michelle, you will love Napa! We were there for 2 days last Christmas and it was great! We went to 4 wineries each day, and the ones that we really enjoyed were Paraduxx, Duckhorn, and Dariush. We also went to Robert Mondavi just because the winery itself was really beautiful. I recommend getting the app for Napa wineries if you have an iphone so you can map out your days and also some of them have coupons on the apps. We were orignally thinking of staying at a bed and breakfast but changed our minds and stayed at a Courtyard by Marriott, I think, right there in Napa, which was perfect. We ate Rutherford Grill for dinner which was really good; it's a part of Hillstone chain that owns Houston's locally here in Dallas ( and we love Houston's).

I forgot one!!!!
I haven't had a soda for about three weeks. I've been getting my caffeine from iced tea and coffee.
Stephie - I am going to make another thread to see if anyone else is interested in coming.
Jaymi - My mom didn't do anything. She was in a bad place then and she didn't feel she could stand up to him. DH and I have paid it off over time but it really sucked to spend $17,000 on credit cards instead of college. It will always be one of my biggest pieces of resentment toward both of them.
As to those of you wondering why I didn't file against him - for my mom and my sister - he would have gone to prison and I just couldn't deal. And this is way more than I ever thought I would say on the internet, ever, so please don't judge!
Kathy - Good thoughts for you tomorrow.
Michelle - Woo Hoo!
Kathy - Good thoughts for you tomorrow and thanks for the tidbit too!
Michelle - How exciting!
Stephie - That's great news!
Tiffany - I totally agree!
I honestly have been eating like crap lately, which is why I'm trying to make changes now to eat healthy! I just don't talk about the bad stuff I eat :-p

Kathy - Good luck and let us know!
Leslie - no judgements here. No one can truly say what they would do unless they were put in your situation. It does break my heart, though that you were just stuck with all that debt.
Tiffany - I love broccoli! Have you tried grilled asparagus? It's good, too.
Blech... Mark loves it but I don't really care for it.
Tiffany- I don't get real creative with veggies either. Maybe it is because I am not a very "creative" cook and just stick with what I know. I am going to try the GM smoothies though.
Kathy- Good luck tomorrow!
Leslie- I am sorry you ever had to deal with that. I get so sad when children have to be the parents.
I love asparagus!
Thanks, everyone! I feel like that, after last summer, I should take this summer as mine. Hopefully the "Summer of Julie" turns out better than George's "Summer of George" on Seinfeld.
Congratulations on all the accomplishments, everyone!
Jaymi,
I have heard to switch shoes on vacations where you do lots of walking because it's actually better for your feet. So it kind of makes sense to me about switching when working out. I have two pairs of tennis shoes so I do try to alternate.
And the guy who cleans my house every two weeks? Yeah, he's awesome. He cleaned out the cat box! Holy cow.
Definitely not an AW, but I'm sick today. As in, slept for 13 hours, sitting on the couch with my kleenex, watching Loony Toons.
About eating healthier... I've been logging my food on My Fitness Pal (.com) for a little over a month now, and it's really teaching me to make better choices, especially when I go out to eat. You can set it to track calories and other nutrients, and it has goals for each one and compares it to how you actually eat, and tells you if you're under or over. It has about a bajillion different foods on it, so it's easy to find what you want. And, I have a few friends & family members on it, so we constantly encourage each other and that makes it easier. Also, I've lost 6.5 pounds, so that's a bonus. Just a tip for you ladies trying to eat better.
Ditto. Especially on having to pay it back.
After reading my original post, I apologize if I misspoke about the evil step dad comment, I may have gotten your step dad mixed up with someone else through the comments.
Kathy - Thinking good thoughts for you and your baby tomorrow!
Leslie - No judgment here. DH has been dealing with that as well (from his parents). Probably another reason why I feel the way I do about them. How can a parent screw over their child like that!
Bio Good Times
Julie- Are you still using Cottage Care? If so, does the same person clean your house each time?
Where does he want to go?

Haha. That doesn't make you sound like a brat. Sorry you don't want to go there.
Yeah, I consider it in the past now. My mom has divorced him and I am trying to give her a chance to be a real mom now. It is going to be especially important when we have kids, so I want to let sleeping dogs lie so my kids never have to know about the whole deal. No worries, I didn't think twice about it.
I am excited for book club! I had such a good time last time and can't wait to see y'all again and meet some of you for the first time!
Also - Scott Dissick (however you spell) is so greasy. He just kills me.
He's sleezy.
Right. He was just telling her how getting the key to their house back from her mom got him all "horned up." I was eating and literally put my sandwich down to gag. Thanks Scott for helping me cut my calories in half!
