All I know was that was the most excitement this board has seen in weeks! I'm sad it's over.
I just want everyone to know that I'm just as confused as you are about the dynamics of this board. I'm not sure anyone really knows what the hell is happening around here. Puppies/rainbows vs. snark. BOTB vs. BNOTB. Google vs. recommedations. Jess vs. Office internet police. It's all too hard to keep track of to me!

This. I was curious why this has been so slow.

The only thing I really gathered from that DD'd thread was that there is a FB group that some of the former regular posters are now using instead of this board. I honestly don't know who is who because no one likes to name names. Jess was posting snarky pictures that may have gotten offensive (I don't really know because I couldn't see one of them). And I was just trying to keep it real.
So I guess the moral of the story is if you want this board to become active again, then someone besides the old regulars need to do the posting because they are currently not interested in this board.
They weren't offensive. They were funny. I think the site they were sourced from may have been the issue, but the images themselves were not offensive.

this board is clicky as hell... even the girls that are open to meet new girls and are super nice are still "clicky" with regulars they have known for awhile.
I say this knowingly being a part of one... i met my bff4ever
on here as well as girls that are like my main group of girl friends now IRL
so they go and talk about personal shiz somewhere else...
big effing deal.
I still want to meet new girls but its just the reality of the situation.
ut newsflash, this is still the internet, we don't all have to get along all the time.

Ok I missed everything......
but I will say I agree, BFD that there is a FB group of people who talk. It isn't a clique because there are 67 friggin members... and chances are that if you aren't a member you either don't have facebook or aren't friends with a nestie on facebook.
Oh and the reason I don't post is because I think that half the posts are either completely irrelevant to my life or if I do post people get all pissed off because they think I am mean.... which makes me act even meaner because I think it is funny.
I'm referring to people making general references (kinda like I just did), stating things like "people getting their panties in a bunch" and "people getting their feelings hurt". I read this board every single day and I rarely see when people are getting upset about. I know that you, Jess, like to be snarky or funny which I honestly find most, if not all, of your posts hilarious. I agree with Katie's statement in the DD'd post that it's difficult to catch the tone of some posts which is why I don't understand why people on public message boards get so personally offended.
The crux of what I'm trying to get across today (which I'm probably doing poorly) is that people shouldn't take things so personally and should get back into posting again. I don't know why people left the board in the first place but it's no fun for the rest of us here who have no idea what the heck is going on.
I truly believe that because people don't name names and people often take things too personally is why this board is dead. If someone has an issue, they should call that person out and try to hash it out like adults instead of disappearing. But hey, to each their own. Anyone can do whatever the fvck they want to do. We are all adults and I am just trying to explain how I am feeling.

i am glad you clarified because i was taking what you were saying differently. And you are right, people shouldn't get offended by stuff so easily. However, i don't think the majority of people have left the board because of hurt feelings, but more because people can't post anything without someone crying about it and having hurt feelings.
That and the IMMENSE number of completely idiotic and stupid posts lately. It got old real fast.
So yes, there is a facebook group. It is open to any regular members on here. It is not secret or a clique. Obviously some people have been left behind. It was not posted here because the whole point of the group was not to create a clique but to eliminate stalkers. Now that that is out the window, i felt the need to explain it here.
Exactly to your first comment. That is why I am so annoyed with this board. I am tired of the complainy-ness. I rarely see why people are 'offended' and so sensitive about things. Grow a backbone. The world is not filled with unicorns that poop rainbows. This is an internet chat board and you should not take things seriously.
It's just said that a handfull of us can leave and the board dies. It just proves that the couple of us are clearly here for our own conversations that entertain other people.

Also, since the FB group is 'out of the bag' it was also because some girls on here have creeper lurker stalkers and it was a place to post freely without the fear of someone stalking you.

Also, do any of the older posters remember the gmail chat group? It was used a few years back, and it worked well for a while, it kept out the stalkers and people were actually more open. FB is much better than the gmail set up though!!
