Re: Free Slurpee Day Randoms
I started a new class this past weekend. Our prof is really interesting: Harley rider w/ tats and looks and talks like George Carlin. Someone asked a question about the role of the counselor as helping people realize the most real version of themselves... The question turned into an ethical issue with the example of, "say my client eats people..." and my professor actually for real said, "well, I've eaten a lot of women..." Dirty, dirty man. Unfortunately, one of my peers didn't realize what he meant and joked that she had too. Someone whispered and explaination and she turned bright red.
So, this class will be pretty interesting.

Family is worse! They will remember. And remind you. And joke about things that, to you, are not jokes, so much and so often that when you finally snap and call them on it, you get accused of having no sense of humor and needing to lighten up.
Strangers will tell their family/friends about your misfortune, laugh about it, and move on.

I find these stories hilarious. No judgment from me, just giggling.
Holy moley.
I totally laughed at this. Not at you!
Yup, not really in the vein of appropriate, eh?

I am all for adult conversation, but YIKES! That's a pretty risky comment in mixed company.
