Re: Monday Randoms
Unfortunately, we didn't get to hit up Zingerman's. Andy actually had been before during a recruiting trip, and concurred that it was delicious. We ended up going to Blue Tractor, because it's also a brewery, and the food was fantastic. Art fair was fun too - looking at both the art and the people in attendance. :-P
You'll have to visit Zingerman's sometime. Based on other places you've mentioned liking, I think it would definitely be your style.
Is this the same Blue Tractor that's in TC? If so, I love that place.

We went to Saugatuck yesterday. It was a 80% perfect trip. The 20% was all dinner. Has anyone ever been to the Butler and had a great experience? We've taken it off of our list for good.
I love Groupon right now.
Over the weekend, I bought 2 excursions for our trip to Florida. The first was a boat rental on the Gulf of Mexico for 8 hours. We reserved a pontoon boat, and they provide maps of the waterways and islands to explore, etc. We plan on packing a cooler and hanging out all day. There will be 7 of us - should be a ton of fun.
The second Groupon was for a deep see fishing/party boat excursion. It leaves out of Port Canaveral and is 6 hours long. They provide lunch, unlimited beer and pop, fishing gear and instructions. I can't wait to catch me some big fish!

I woke up to my SS blasting music this morning. He thought that Dad and Dede were both gone and he was safe to play music loud. He quickly found out he was wrong. While Dad is in Kzoo for a client, Dede was still snuggled in bed trying to catch up on some sleep.
I too love HP movies. I haven't seen the last movie yet though nor have I read the books.
That sounds like a blast!
I'm getting my school schedule this week! This means I'll know what times I have class, which profs I'll have and most exciting--I'll be able to buy the rest of my textbooks.
Hopefully I get into a good section, with nice classmates and the best instructors.

I'm happy to report that today is going faster than this past Friday. Yay.
Also, we are talking about taking a 5 mile bike ride on Friday after work. Some friends invited us out to their campsite, we'll probably spend the night if we bike it. I'm a little nervous as I have no idea how hilly the roads are, and I can't do hills. Especially with pulling about 40 lbs behind, but even without that I can't do them. lol. I need to get in better shape.
Hills pulling 40lbs would be awful. I haven't biked in forever. Next summer we should get our bikes tuned up and get out more often. Hopefully I'll get paid work close to home and it will work. L really needs to start getting some regular exercise due to health issues and he refuses to run with me.
I'm glad today is going faster than Friday (it is for me, too). I think I have about 1hr worth of work on my to-do list and four 10-hour days left to complete it. I'll probably be here a lot this week!

And yay for getting your bikes tuned up. We haven't been out since our 8 mile trek in the 85 degree heat (while pulling 40 lbs), but I'm ready to go again!
I think it's great that you do this. I don't really like to commit to these kinds of things. And I would probably be the worst player on most teams, so it's just as well.
First, glad your day is going quickly and I think you will have an awesome time biking.
As to softball, I'm sorry your team hasn't been so great. Our team has always been laughably bad, but this year we've actually been decent. And I kind of hate being on a good team, because this puts pressure on me to not suck balls. And I am definitely not a good player, so then I feel bad when I ground out or catch a fly ball with my face instead of my mitt.
lol. Well, I'm glad that your team has been decent. Really, decent is all I ask for. I'm not perfect either and make mistakes and sometimes just suck, but it would be nice to win once in a while.
The team we are playing tonight is the only team in the league that we have a chance at beating, so at least we have some hope going into it. lol.
We should probably just switch teams. You can go actually help out my team and make them better, and I'll go be bad on your bad team and enjoy not feeling any pressure.
I hope you find your one person. That's cool that you get a paid day off as a reward for a certain level of participation.
Last week my BIL and XSIL took two of my nephews and their cousins to MI Adventure. They had a blast.
I should probably hold off since I am going with my bajillion siblings and their families in a few weeks. Twice in one month would probably get old.
We just made plans to go to Cedar Point in September. That should be a good time, we haven't been there in a few years. I heard they just added a new ride...?
Yeah, we opted out of the MI Adventure trip due to cost and just not wanting to take the time out of work. We went with them a couple of years ago and I went with my cousin and her family a couple of years before that. It's a fun day, but definitely not all that.
CP should be exciting, though. I haven't been since late sumer of 1999!
