Re: B&M Monday
I'm at 59 I believe. I don't plan on quitting as I would have not read a lot of the books that I've enjoyed in the end
I wish I knew that you were interested in this DVD. I could have burned you a copy.
I actually did quit the book and returned it to the library when I was unsure that book club would happen. I felt the same way; just couldn't get into it.
On this second go 'round, I am 325 pages in and I promise...it does get better!
It's NBD, it was only $7 on Amazon. Now if you have any of the P90X, Insanity or Chalean DVDs, we should talk.
Ummm...I actually have P90X and Insanity. Or I should say my DH does. Now my copies are just burned copies so I don't have all the other fancy things that come with it, but I do have the DVD's.
I FB messaged you in case Tony Horton is lurking these boards. He's kind of ripped and could probably take us.
LOL! Whenever I see/hear people talking about the Insanity program, I always have to say it "INSANITY!!!" It just seems appropriate. My former personal trainer recommended P90x, I just don't really like working out at home.
I just don't like working out!!!!
Leslie- Don't think I am ignoring you. I can't log on to FB from here, but I will check it out tonight.
LOL! Me too. The commercials for Insanity crack me up, but the results are no joke.
I could possibly get you Chalean. If I do, the only problem would be that you have to play them from your computer because mine is copied as well and I can't get it to play on the DVD player.
On the topic of working out, I've been adding some weights to my routine for the last couple weeks, and there's already a difference in my metabolism according to my bodybugg. On Friday I did 45 minutes on the elliptical with a 5 minute cooldown. Normally I would burn 450-500 calories, and I burned 611! People have been telling me this forever, and I understood it in theory, but I was hesitant to give up any cardio time. I never thought I'd see results this fast, but I'm totally on board now!
ETA: I had done weights before, I just hadn't in over a year. And it's been even longer since I've done them regularly.
That's funny! We had a home phone for about six months ... during which time we got a million calls for 1 girl that had the number before us, and about half a million for some guy that did. It was mostly robocalls, so there would be a million messages on the machine. They'd also call on Saturday mornings a lot.
I called most of them back (if they left a number) to let them know we didn't know that person. I changed our outgoing answering machine to include: "we are not, nor do we know, X person and Y person so if you are calling for them ... take this number off your list!" it didn't work.
Finally we got rid of our home phone. That was the only thing that worked.
We also still get mail for someone who last lived in our house about 7 years ago, and no amount of "Not At This Address" does anything about it. If anyone has any tips on that (short of moving), please let me know!
I don't know if you are willing to invest money to fix this but if you buy the very cheapest DVD player they have at walmart ($30-ish) it will play burned DVDs. I have never had a burned DVD not work in this DVD player. Someone I know is a DVD burning fool and he bought me this DVD player for this purpose.
I still get mail from the dude who lived in my house over 4 years ago. Like bank statements and all. The first year or so I sent them back saying "return to sender". since then, I've thrown them in the trash. I even got a fed-ex package for him a few months ago. I sat on it for about 3 days, and then opened it. Just some letter from QuickTrade or something. I trashed it too.

Yes! It is definitely a good bonus and absolutely worth it.
I wanted to try this. Tell me how it goes and maybe I'll get it. I got P90x but I didn't get all the extra equipment. Then I let my cousin borrow it and he lost some of it. Why you don't let family touch your stuff..lol
Either way I'm really unhappy with how big I've gotten and I need to lose this extra wieght. My knees will not be happy with me unless I drop at least 10.

I have 30DS. I'll be honest, I stopped doing it, but not at all because of the workout itself. Just because ... well the reason I didn't exercise for the year before I bought the DVD either. I'm just not motivated right now.
BUT I loved the DVD. And I really think if I could've stuck with it, it definitely would've helped me change my body. (and someday, maybe in the fall, I hope to actually do it 30 days straight). It's intense! And I never moved past Level 1.
