Re: August 2 randoms
Ditto! Your H and friends were all super nice and it was fun to chit chat. :-)
I just stopped myself from posting a mysterious/dramatic FB update. "Off to see a woman about a gall bladder" I haven't posted there about it yet.
While I think it's funny, I don't want my parents to find out about this from my aunt at church (when they return from their trip) before I have a chance to tell them about it on the phone.
So, I'm off to talk to my doctor about the gall stones and my cat scan results and the protocol of their office (and their terrible phone nurse).
Good luck! I hope you get some answers, treatment options, and an apology.
So it seems last night recoding session was a success. The band already want to us our space for more ideas that they've been talking about. Although we did get a complaint from the office below us. I guess they normally work past 7pm but we talked to them this morning and let them know we will keep them in the loop of what may be going on in the future. They asked that we record after 9pm which we should be able to work with.
It looked awesome in here yesterday. All our computer's were being used and a couple of the band members were logging into our WiFi. I don't think there was an area in here that wasn't being used!
Ditto all of this!
Yummmmm!
That's neat that you're able to use your office as a recording space! Sounds fun.
Very cool!
This is great! Hope you all have continued success!!
Hope things go smoothly from here on out.
Tritto!
A *working* bedroom celling fan is the best invention ever.
Only 1 out of the 4 ceiling fans we have in our house work. They all worked when we bought the house last year. Boo.
Also, I'm very impressed that you are DIY-ing those! I wouldn't have a clue where to start.
No. The internet is the best invention ever. But a bedroom ceiling fan is a close second.
Quartro!
Yes. Thank heavens for Al Gore and circulating air.
The outcome: She knew which nurse it was, and I'll be writing a letter. She did apologize several times. I feel better about all of that now.
I only have 1 gall stone. However, it's the size of Utah. Looks like the stone and the gall bladder will be coming out. Wheeeee.
Appt. with surgeon tomorrow. I'm hoping to wait until next month for removal. I don't think I'll be cleared for lake swimming a week post incisions, and we're not done with lake swimming yet. I'll trade a month of nausea for that.
Thanks for the support, pals.
Glad to hear your concerns on the nurse were heard (and will continue to be heard). Also, good luck with surgery - it feels random that you are the third person I've heard their gall bladder out in the past month, when previously I knew none.
I bought a Groupon awhile back for a hot stone massage. I've been planning to use it as a treat on my birthday since I'm off that day. I just called to make the appointment and they don't have any openings that day.
Major bummer. Totally my fault though since I obviously should have called sooner.
Now I have no idea when I'm going to use it.
Did the doctor apologize just for the nurse's rudeness, or also for her not calling herself with this kind of news? I kind of feel like that was the bigger issue -- the fact that the doctor can be somewhat inaccessible to her patients.
Sorry to hear that you have to have your gallbladder removed. Hope you continue to feel relatively well until your surgery.
This is our 1st house with ceiling fans, and we are in love! What a difference they can make.
Speaking of celing fans. . . Whenever we turn the fan on in J's room, it turns the master bedroom light on in my neighbors house. The only way to control the fan is through a remote.
What would you do? I really want the fan on when he is sleeping in there, but I hate to be turning on and off my neighbors light, esp at night.
Sorry about the impending surgery. I hope they let you hold it off for a bit.
I wonder if that is the same nurse I had issues with there. Hm.. I swore that office was lucky they had such awesome Drs.
That's probably not funny to anyone involved, but ohmygosh! That's kind of funny. I don't know anything about remote fans, but I'm sure someone else here might be able to offer some advice.
I think it's hilarious! How did you find out? Rude awakening/yelling at 2 a.m.? How bizarre. Our fans are controlled by a dimmer-type slider on our light switches, so I also don't have remote-fan knowledge. Have you talked to your neighbors to see if they have any ideas why it's happening, or what to do?
I'm SO sorry you have to have surgery! Did your doctor indicate how long the recovery time would be? Also, I really hope your Utah-sized stone isn't as rocky as the actual state is...which would be really rough. Pun intended...
