Re: Say anything... again!
I'm sorry
FKB... prayers to her... and to your family as well.

FKB- I'm sorry for her loss. Prayers for your family.
Kreeper- That sounds promising. Hopefully the tides are turning for you :-)
Kris, I'm sorry for your SIL and your family's loss.
Jax - my husband would love boudoir pics. If I hit my WL goal maybe I'll do them for him.
Of course he'd say something like, "Don't be giving me these if you aren't planning on delivering what you're advertising" or something goofy like that.

I really need to start eating more grapefruit. I just ate one and it was delicious.
I have lost 6lbs. Go me. Only 14 more to go. Although I would be happy with 9 more if I didn't look squishy.
DH just went rogue on some ants he found in our pantry after we got back from vacation. Not sure exactly what he did, but we did have to pull the pet food out from the pantry, and I see traps in the corner! We haven't seen any since, so whatever it was, thankful worked (so far).
I did them 90% for me. DH looked at them but never was thrilled. He didn't mind me spending they money but it's not his style to gush over them. I'm glad I did them because I've gained weight since then! It was more to show myself I could look great and boost my own self confidence.
so you don't have a big fun tupperware cabinet for kids to play in? lol... we don't use 80% of the crap in our tupperware cabinet. i don't know why we keep EVERY cottage cheese, sour cream, greek yogurt, and hummus container ever brought into the house. oh and butter tubs. i need to PURGE that stuff.
i realized last night that i absolutely, positively HATE being told "no"...lol. especially after a couple of glasses of wine. we were at a party for the bridal extravaganza people, and DH was re-signing-up for next time, and we wanted to do a double booth so we could put his photobooth with my photography stuff.
the lady was all excited that i wanted to participate, then she goes, "so, what is your business?" when i told her photography, she got all sad-puppy eyed and goes "oh... we have a waiting list for photographers. i mean we MIGHT be able to make an exception since you're FAMILY... but we just can't give you a yes right now."
are you serious? you let the super skank stripper pole people have a booth (not to mention all the cheesy cheap-o totally random teeth whitening and "fitness" booths) but you're gonna tell me no?!?!?!?! oooh i was hopping mad. luckily i was immediately able to laugh at myself for feeling such injustice...lol.
ooh, in other news... while we were at the B.E., one of the stripper pole booths got shut down-- TWICE. why, you ask? lol, because they were being too slutty. ok, you allowed them to have a booth. what did you really expect?!?!?! they made them put on more clothes because evidently they were skeezing out the bridal salon whose booth was across the way.

TMIish.
Tori has a stomach bug. She has thrown up 4 times since 5:30 this morning. Gave her a bit of water and she coudn't keep it down. She seems to be tolerating sipping on Sprite (thank God MIL brought some on the way to work so I didn't have to get her out).
Question: I have Zofran for her from when she had a reaction to the codeine in her pain med when she broke her collarbone. If she continues to throw up should I give it to her or just let the bug run its course?
Maybe I'm dense, but I'm not seeing how a stripper pole ties in with the BE.
For the guys that get drug along? To help the bride start flipping out about the bachelor party? I am guessing it was one of those pole dancing classes though...or at least I hope it was.
Kris - I'd give mine the Zofran.
I'm guessing it's the whole 'exercise and learn to dance like a stripper for your husband' angle. LOL
I'm missing the connection between the B.E. and a stripper pole. I don't get it.
So... Micaela's friend, friended me on FB a while back... And I debated and debated on whether or not to accept it. I finally decided that I would accept but then pretty much block her from seeing anything on my page. Not because I post inappropriate things, but because I don't think what I do is any of her business. lol Today she messages me on chat and tells me she asked to be my friend so she could chat with Micaela. WTH. I replied telling her that Micaela would never be logged into my FB account, so there would never be a chance for them to chat. And then she asked me if Micaela was at home today. lol
Just weird. This is the one that just tends to rub me the wrong way and I don't think she's all that great of an influence on Micaela, but I realize I can't pick her friends for her. (the girl has been grounded for ONE day twice for telling her parents she's going to a girl friends house and then being found at a boys house. !! She's freaking 11! Micaela would be grounded for a heck of a lot longer than ONE day for that.)
BINGO!
there are a couple of companies that do "pole fitness", where you go to their place and do workout classes using the pole... the one near us was called "Verticality". the booth that got shut down was one of the "learn to dance like a stripper for that special someone" kinds of operations.
there was a surprising number of "pole fitness" booths. i think there were also people selling the poles so you can have one in your home.
the "fitness" people were actually dressed in workout clothes. the "lesson" people were dressed in lingerie, and while i understand their intention, this is a BRIGHTLY lit convention hall kind of thing. you can see everything. stripper pole + lacy boyshort undies = inappropriate.

Give it to her. The pedi told me to use the zofran we have if the kids ever get another stomach bug.
Tears are steaming down my face from laughing so hard! Your link didn't work, so here is one that does. Warning, not for the weak stomached! http://www.rantsfrommommyland.com/2010/03/public-display-of-morning-sickness.html
Does anyone know where I can buy a horse?
I'm that hungry.

I think we may have blown L's chances at getting into MIT with inadequate baby-proofing.
In similar news, my kid's current favorite beverage is Finazzle
I am skipping church to go to the foodie GTG. I feel bad that the RSVP's declining because they have church don't make me feel guilty.
If I don't have children's ministry duty, I'm so there! The only thing I'll feel guilty about is that I know DH won't take the girls on his own so THEY don't miss.
So since I resigned I wonder if they would do anything to me if I punched one of the rotation engineers (engineers in training) on the other side of the cube from me. I cannot stand him, at all. He is very loud, and makes it hard for everyone around him to concentrate on their work. But more than that he is rude. A new rotation engineer was hired at the beginning of July and he just graduated from college in May, this kid is a quiet kind of kid. He is soft spoken, but extremely intellegent. He is picking it up, I can hear that. But this the rude guy is just being horrible to him. I want to punch him, and then remind him that at one point he was a new college graduate. He needs to not be short, and so d@mn rude to this kid. To give an example the kid will be asking a question and the rude guy will talk over him and continue to say and, and, and, and...until the kid just gives up.
I talked to another engineer that just left the rotation program and became a full fledged engineer, and he said that if this guy was underneath him there would have been many talks about his behavior already. He treats everyone around him like crap, he cusses out the vendors, and sometimes the clients. It's unacceptable. And then they wonder why people are leaving the company, it's situations like this where they don't do anything about someone when people do complain many times over.
