Re: Tuesday Randoms
I used to do that when I walked with Allison. You can't help but do it.
Yeah, I don't really get it. It first started because of police brutality (police killed a man under murky circumstances). But it seems to have snowballed and now people are just angry about unemployment and whatnot, right?
I have a FB friend who I knew and worked with several years ago. She seems to have turned somewhat radical since I knew her a few years ago. She has close ties to London (lived there when growing up and went to college there) and she's been posting links to blogs promoting and defending the riots. She did the same thing when there were riots in Greece (she also has ties to Greece -- she was born there).
You DO deserve one! I don't...but now I want one...yummmm.
I was just reading a bio online about a man who is in his 50's and a highly educated, scholarly type of fellow. It says he enjoys reading, traveling, TTC talks, etc...
I've probably been on the nest way too long, but I immediatly thought about "trying to conceive" and I'm pretty sure that's not one of this guys hobbies. That said, I have no idea what TTC refers to in this context!
The visit went well. Yeah they were judgey, but I think they deemed everything as acceptable.
Just found out the Travel Channel picked some of my photos of the "upper midwest" to feature on their site:

That's awesome! Great job.
The Peanuts photo is so neat.
Which park is in #10?
Very cool! Congrats!
Thanks, ladies!
Kasa, the park is Stanaback Park, near one of my employer's campuses. It's between Shaffer and Breton.
The bummer is that Travel Channel cut off the part of the images that had my watermark, so the composition is a little off on some of them (like the hammock shot went up quite a ways into the trees). Oh well; I probably should have guessed they'd do that.
I LOVE that one!
Awesome.
You want to know what is annoying?
When I ask someone to double check something because it doesn't look right because of x reason, and they email me back immediately saying that it's correct. Without looking into it.
So then I basically have to go above them to get it looked into, and what do you know? I was right - it was wrong.
So I look like a B for going above them and we've wasted a lot of time. All because they just didn't do their job right the first or second time. Sigh.
Excellent photos. Well done.
Wow, that sounds very annoying.
