Re: Say anything... again!
I'll have to take one from the side so you can really see how high it is, but this is what it looks like (ignore the red eye devil baby stare):
I have no idea. Let me go check!
This is what I think of and it fuh-reaks me out. And I wouldn't want to eat it.
The first photo that came up was actually a semi-cute rodent. But I've seen them looking kind of nasty and crazy - more rat-like. No thank you.
Like this with their long-ass rat tails and covered in mud ::shudder::

Swamped at work. Basically someone is trying to steal credit for my work & the work of the other analyst. It's making things a nightmare. I've been getting on the board occasionally when I need to give my brain a 5 minute break from the drama, but as soon as I read a few posts, someone comes in my office to try & share their 2 cents on the whole issue.
We did finally get some resolution last night on the issue & I think it's going to be better now. Our VPs now fully understand what is going on & they plan to talk to upper management about it today. But I doubt I'll be less busy for a while, this has some how morphed into a new huge project for me.
That stinks. I hope it all gets cleared up soon!
that's cruddy, pinty! hope it gets worked out!
why are nutria hard to kill??
this joke has had me giggling the past few days:
what did the hot dog say when it crossed the finish line?
i'm a WEINER!!
Well hello! I am sorry work stuff stinks and I hope it gets better soon!
this statement, combined with the perfect-family and smiling-face in your sig pic TOTALLY cracked me up this morning : )
i hope she gets a tellin-off from someone!
i ordered a bunch of lip balm as marketing stuff for my business. it's been wildly popular in the past, i've always gotten this vanilla flavor. well, i ordered half lavender this time, thinking hey, lavender is kind of en vogue, they use it as cupcake flavor, why not? let's do this!
oh man! it is not great. it's not horrific, but still. i wish i'd ordered all vanilla.

I think I need a ticker for when the kids go back to school. Driving.me.insane.
2.5 weeks..... 2.5 weeks.....2.5 weeks.....2.5 weeks.....2.5 weeks.....
Crazy Christmas Kids!
i am just ready for school to START because the driving back and forth has become insane-o. at least when school starts, they'll be in one place for more than 2-3 hours and i can get some damn work done...lol.
since volleyball has begun, i feel like a taxi driver/vagabond. they have to be taken to school to ride to games, then they have to ride the bus back to school after the game and we have to go pick them up.
when their games are on the other side of the world, this is a huge huge huge annoyance. like yesterday we had a game in cypress, but she couldn't go to dinner with our family (my mom and neice) after because they have to ride the bus back to school.
worse, when she has a game at the high school RIGHT BY OUR HOUSE, we still have to drive her all the way to hers, then drive there after the game.
anything for supporting the team, i suppose. *rawr*

I have come to the conclusion that rompers are for children. Babies, really. Not moms. Not adults in general.
Also, I have very little fashion sense, so take that with a grain of salt.
I totally get your perspective on how annoying it is. I chaperoned one of Maddie's summer field trips to Kemah. The teacher had all these extra tickets for some rides that some of the kids couldn't go on, but Maddie could have (but they basically do the all-or-none rule). I wanted to stay there and let Maddie use a free ticket or two (only good for that day, and I had paid for her full ticket as it is) and maybe have dinner down there or something. But the kids had to ride the bus back, and I had to drive home solo.
It is annoying, but it's for their safety. Imagine if 10 parents wanted to deviate from the schedule and they *thought* they had all the kids on the bus to return home but didn't. Best case scenario is the kid would be left behind and a special trip would have to be made to get them. Worst case is something happened to one of the girls and because they weren't strict about ensuring everyone was there to/from/during the game they didn't realize it until something horrible happened to the girl like an abduction or worse.
Try to focus on the merits of keeping precious Claire and her friends safe in spite of the PITA. :-

but they would let us sign the girls out of events in MIDDLE SCHOOL... but not high school.
and on top of that, they're driving for an hour on freeways with a bus that has too many kids on it. like, girls are sitting in the aisles on the floor. i haven't complained because a) we're new and b) i know it's still early and maybe they are having transportation issues and can't requisition two buses on short notice.
hopefully this will change once the school year begins.

And I'm of the opinion that those things should have stayed in 1976.
Agreed.
Although my skinny (younger) cousins wear them and I think they look cute. I would just look enormous. And how do you pee? Too much work.
My calendar for the next two weeks is giving my an anxiety attack. I have no idea how I'm going to get it all done. And I do believe that next Thursday I need to be 3 places at once.
What? You don't do this every day? Come on...get with it!
Hugs! This is me. I have been sending DH many emails today asking him to do things though I know I will likely end up doing them. The next 3-4 weeks are crazy busy/stressful for me.
Crazy Christmas Kids!
I'm glad. You have had a heckuva week already and deserved it!

Oh.
Yeah that is weird. And very annoying. And NOT a safe alternative.

Hear hear. Have a glass of wine tonight too.
Dear AF-
Where the heck are you? This isn't funny.
