Shows you're giving up on
Re: Shows you're giving up on
I would've said that I was giving up on the Office...except that James Spader was so absolutely brilliant in Boston Legal that I'm going to give him a chance as the new boss.
Otherwise, I haven't watched too many shows that have totally lost my interest. Deadliest Catch is coming the closest--but that's a January show, so we'll see how I feel in a few months.
All versions of 16&pg and Teen Mom
Grey's
Private Practice
Biggest Loser
Top Model
Maybe 2 1/2 Men
Drop Dead Diva - it's the same show every week
Hoarders/Intervention/Toddlers/Yes to Dress/Storage Wars/Pawn Stars
Celebrity Rehab/Sober House
One Tree Hill -- During the last season I kept asking myself each week why this show is still on the air.
Biggest Loser -- I don't like the new trainers & now even Bob has become a sellout with his diet pills.
ANTM -- I just don't care anymore.
16&Pregnant (gave up this past season)
The Biggest Loser - too much product placement, episodes are too long
The Bachelorette - I love the Bachelor but the B-ette was so boring. It was my first season watching and I'm not sure I'll watch again.
I'll give The Office and Glee a shot this season.
11-15-08
12-1-10
Yes, I forgot about all three of these. I am done with Biggest Loser and the other two are on their last legs
American Idol
Keeping up with the Kardashians - why did I ever give it a first chance?
I'll probably watch Khloe and Lamar some more, though. I like them better than everyone else.
I don't know if I'll suffer through another season of 16 and PG. I was so bored during the last season.
The Office - just not funny anymore
How I Met Your Mother - after 2 seasons of sitcommy non-laughs and I-could-see-that-coming-from-a-mile-away "plot twists," I'm out (even though this used to be my favorite show in the world)
Probably Burn Notice - we're super behind, but H still likes it, so we'll see
I'm giving Glee a few episodes this fall and if I'm still bored then I'll give up on it. Last season I just never seemed to care if/when I watched it.
I gave up on Private Practice awhile ago. It's too over the top for me.
Rather than edit, I'm adding a new show. CSI. I've held on sooo long for that show. I LOVED the Nate Haskill story line with Langston, but really, it was the only really interesting story line of last season. The fact they had to bring in so many guest cameos was another sign of them jumping the shark.
I've never been a huge Ted Danson fan, so this may be the final nail in their coffin for me. I just hate sudden transitions--I like the fact that Gil was sort of transitioned out of his role and will make guest appearances now and then--and he's mentioned in story lines. They killed off Warren, so that was a pretty clean cut. I LOVED that they brought back Sophia--but just for one episode--and no mention of her after that--that made me mad. We'll see. But I think this is likely to be my "buh bye" show of the year.
Secret Life of the American Teenager-just can't seem to get into it anymore
Top Chef
I feel like I've given up on a lot in the past year
- Greys
- Private Practice
- Gossip Girl
- Secret Life (well still watch if desperate)
- Dancing with the Stars
- Office
- Teen Mom
- 16 & Pregnant
- Jersey Shore
- Burn Notice--I haven't watched any this season, but DH loves it so I might watch some with him
- Royal Pains--I liked the stuff with Boris and Marrisa, this season isn't doing it for me
wow...it looks like all i did was watch tv, but some of these I didn't watch regularlyCastle - learned a bit more about some of the things planned and I'm just so over it. I'll probably DVR and watch them all at once, but it's no longer must see TV.
Really, I've given up on most shows. I think they're all pretty tired. Currently, I love The Big C and Rizzoli & Isles and Breaking Bad. That's about it.
