B&M Monday
Hey ladies!
Happy First Day of School to all the teachers, students, and Mamas of students!
My B&M is that time moves too quickly, and I don't like having a kid starting the 3rd grade... but that's tempered with a great deal of hope. We went round and round and ROUND with Jack's 2nd grade teacher (as did all the other parents of boys, because she was only decent to the girls in the class, to the point of administrative discipline), so we're excited for a new year.
I'm gonna post and run until this afternoon because we're training someone in studio today, but hopefully everyone has a festive Monday!

I stayed up late printing out things and I didn't get done because my printer was acting up! :-( Plus now I am really tired!

So, I know this is WR talk, but how does everyone feel about Kim K's wedding? I thought that her aisle was GORGEOUS... but her headband thing? Weird!
ETA: Oh lord... I just saw her mom's dress. BAD.

My B&M is now two-fold:
#1 - The Nest keeps refreshing and I have lost everything I typed two times now.
#2 - Due to the whole incorrect library fines deal, I am attending AM class and PM class this semester. I will leave my house at 8AM, attend class until 11AM, go to work for 4 hours, then go back to UTA for class until 8PM. I will get home at nearly 9 every night. Tu/Th won't be as bad, but I have a 4 hour break in between work/school on Mon/Wed nights. To keep positive I am looking at it as both forced study time and time to utilize the UTA gym, which I surely pay to use in tuition but have never gotten to use. It looks like there are group classes and everything.
Randoms:
This is bad, but I only keep track of when the Cowboys are playing so I can get 10% off at Albertson's.
AW-city: I bought my first pair of non-plus sized jeans this weekend. They are even designer. I splurged since it was such a big deal.
I cried in the dressing room. The last time I wore "normal" clothes I was a junior in high school.

I don't have much to B&M about just yet... I have to go tell my manager something cannot be done (according to the person who would know how to do it if it could) so I'm not looking forward to that at all.

Kim K's headband thing was definitely strange, but that's all I saw on the news while I was getting ready for work this morning. Will have to do some snooping to get the rest of the details.
My B&M is I did not sleep well AT ALL last night. DH's poor dog drools in her sleep and soaked the foot of the bed on my side. I woke up in the middle of the night aggravated, and stayed mad the rest of the night. Needless to say, I've got my grumpy-pants on today.

Can everyone see the sticky thread at the top of the board? I think you have to change your settings to see it. I only ask, because I can see it at work, but when I logged in at home, I couldn't see it, until I change my settings.
That's sad considering she had a freaking face lift for this wedding.

I had to go check out the pics! Kris' dress is crazy with that big ol' bow! I loved Kendall's dress though. Wow! I think if Kim would have wore the headband the right way, it would have been perfect. I'll be the first to admit, I will be watching the wedding special!

When you go to the board, scroll down to the bottom. There is a banner for viewing preferences. Click "sort" by "last post date" in "descending order" and then hit apply.
Let me know if you can see the sticky after you do this.
My only other issue, is that new people are not going to be able to see the sticky, until they change their settings. Oy!
Oh yay! I like that posting style way better too, because the most recently posted-on thread is on top (like TK). And yes, the sticky is there!

Chelsea, just wait--before you know it Jack will be a senior in high school.
I did not care for Kim K's "ode to Cleopatra" headpiece or her hair for that matter but I thought she looked beautiful. And what I have seen of her dress looked very tasteful. I can't say the same for her mother's.
I had a migraine all weekend. I stayed in bed and watched old movies.
My B&M--I found a house this weekend that I love, love. Ben ran the numbers to see how far away from it we really are. Sadly, it's pretty far, unless we want to be house poor, which we don't. *sigh*

I am not a big fan of Kim's headband either.. and Kris's headband screams 1980s..
I don't have much to B&M about. We had a pretty good weekend... on Saturday, we went to a 3D/4D US and saw the Baby Hoz ( see my siggy), and I spent all day yesterday doing some major cleaning of the house while Siavash worked on the nursery.

Yes! We've been talking about moving out of state lately. DH has a really great job here though and I still have a year left in school. I love Colorado. I lived there for 2 years and would move back in a heartbeat.
Not to add to the fever, but TN is really awesome. I always tell DH if we ever move, I want to go to TN or KY. Both are beautiful with real seasons, but still in the southern US.
We had a pretty good weekend. Sad Monday got here so fast though!

We met SD and the ex at school this morning for the first day of 1st grade. It didn't go well at all. SD was on yellow before class even began and she got a spanking from mom. She told us all several times she didn't have to listen and she didn't have to sit down. She kicked DH and ripped up her morning papers from the teacher. I hope the rest of her day goes better.
I did have a moment with DH's ex this morning and I think we actually agree on something. She thanked me for helping with SD and said she can tell I really do want what's best for her. Then she asked me if I had noticed any changes in SD and if she has been "hateful" and "ugly" at our house. I said yes and she told me what she had been doing and then asked what we have been doing and said we need to be a strong front together to help get through this horrible stage. I was actually happy she asked for my opinions and thanked me. Maybe she doesn't hate me after all!!!

I didn't like Kim K's headband either. It screamed 1985 to me. I think most of us had much prettier weddings on much smaller budgets than most celebrities. Sometimes expensive does not equal beautiful.
Yes they were talking about the weather and things. I'm fine with a whole new place, but I'm not sure DH would be. I did the "go to a new place" thing in college and I know it's harder making friends when you are older, but the challenge is part of the fun.
Colorado has too much cold for me! I think more people would do it if traveling wasn't as difficult or expensive as it is right now.
