OL Tuesday

Re: OL Tuesday

  • So, I know it's not AW Day, but whatever.  My wedding album is nearly done!  I just asked my photog to make 2 more small changes, and that'll be it!  I am so excited, I hope it comes in super-fast.

Also, a little confession... I feel really bad being so impatient with her - she's on bedrest with pregnancy complications, so it's taken her a really long time to get it done.  I've been nice to her throughout the process, but have been irritated in my head and when venting to others, and I just feel awful about it.

  • Dear Virginia/DC Area and Florida,

Earthquakes and hurricanes, oh my!  Glad I don't live there anymore!  Thank goodness no damage so far and sending good thoughts to family and friends still there!

Craziness. Girls on the Getting Pregnant are checking in, it was widespread!

In other craziness news, the 18 yr old girl from the Bump yesterday was an AE. How pathetic that you need to make up things like that to make yourself feel complete.

Hey Stephie- you have a PM.

Anna- I'll try to email you tonight.  If you do end up making some, could I con some off of you?

    Of course!

    Re: Earthquakes

I had friends on FB from NYC to DC commenting on it, it must have been pretty strong!

  • I still can't get through to most of my family and friends since cell phone service is out but the little I got was that it was pretty big -- chairs shaking, things falling off the walls -- pretty crazy.

    Stephie -

I also spoke out loud when I saw your picture, because DH and I were pricing the same model over dinner.  Like, not even slightly kidding.

    It's beautiful! :)

    -Me

How funny!  Mine is a 2008 but it only has 29k miles on it.  Ben just happened to find it and showed it to me and I loved it but never thought he would actually get it as we were planning to wait another year.  Ben also found my sister's IS250 on Auto Trader that she ended up buying.  He loves cars as much as I love weddings.

    Stephie,

This sounds just like DH and I!  I think he looks at cars/etc like everyday, which is kinda like me with stalking wedding photography blogs! HAHA  Love your car!

  • Hi ladies!

Thank you so much for the T&Ps. Our meeting went well, and unless any unforseen snags come up, this should all be OFFICIALLY over by Thanksgiving. I'm just so ready. The major hang up has been that despite the fact that you can legally file an adoption order without a lawyer, the judge in our county won't accept them without a lawyer. He'll make up a reason, like something wrong with our paperwork, but pretty much he just doesn't want to deal with people who self-file. BUT, we didn't find this out until we did everything ourselves, costing time and money, and self-filed. So we had to start from scratch, with a lawyer. sigh. At least there's an end in sight now, and as long as Sperm Donor doesn't go back on his agreement to just sign stuff and stay gone, we should be in great shape.

    Thanks for listening. :)

    They are saying 5.9!

  • And now a 5.3 in Colorado!

ETA: Apparently I have no idea what day it is. I read this headline and totally thought today was Monday.

Aftershocks continue after Monday quake in Colorado

    What is an AE?

Alter Ego... someone was apparently so bored they decided to create an account and post false drama under it.  Lame.

Is anyone else really stir crazy today?  I can hardly sit still at my desk, and my focus lasts for increments of about 30 seconds.  It's pathetic... I just want to call it a day and head home!

  • Angie, my productivity is at about a 0 right now, so I feel ya! Plus I just found out that even though I'm getting a raise, they can only keep me employed here through the end of the semester. So, as it always seems to be in my life, good news can never come without some measure of bad news. And, it's now doubtful that I'll get anything at all done the rest of the day.

:(  I'm sorry to hear that Anna.

  • Thanks Lacey! The good thing is, I have a lot of notice, and, I'm getting a big raise in the meantime so I can save up some just in case nothing happens between now and then. Smile
