Re: MondayMondayMondayMondayMondayMonday
So, GRSP, if the two of you are on the same page again - probably - what does that page say? Still going ahead with the selling efforts? Any remodeling in the future?
I would hate living out of boxes to avoid clutter. I hope you get forward movement soon.
Good thinking, Hoek.
Taking the house off the market just isn't an option - for either of us. He *might* have a history of getting a little dramatic under stress.
As far as remodeling... I'm pretty sure we're pricing out options for carpet or refinishing the wood under the existing carpet.
Nice work, Juli!
I hate a lot of the responses to questions on the "buying a home" board. Someone just asked about a certain mortgage loan program, and she got a "you should be asking if you can afford to buy a home, not about that loan" response. I've seen that over and over again. I don't think a username on a message board entitles anyone to loan officer status. Does it?
Guess what my new background on this computer is!!!
Thanks for being awesome pals.
Good luck, GRSP. Your situations sounds so, so frustrating. Living out of boxes would be maddening. Trying to keep things clean and in order in case there's a showing would be maddening. The unknown and just... waiting... would be maddening. Plus, Willa's school situation.
Hang in there! We're always here if you want to chat.
Hahaha!! Nice work, JuliD. In my head, his voice sounds exactly that of Napoleon Dynamite's brother.
Kasa- I'm glad the picture is being put to good work. How could you not laugh every time you look at it?
No. Annoying.
This is flippin' fantastic. I almost want it on MY work desktop.
I don't know what the initial post says, but if someone were asking about an interest only loan or even an ARM that adjusts after 5 years, I would probably question why they were looking into that program and whether they could actually afford the house in question. People overextending themselves on mortgages helped create the housing bubble and that is bad for everyone.
Then again, there are definitely ass*holes on message boards and maybe that's the case in this question as well.
Ditto. How frustrating.
I'm sure you've already explored lots of options, but is schools of choice feasible for Willa?
I also agree with what Juli said about Willa doing well wherever she goes. While good teaching is important, From my own experiences and from what I've seen in others it appears that academic success is determined more by the child herself than anything else. Of course more help (supportive parents, great teachers and schools, etc) always makes things easier and I certainly don't fault you for doing whatever you can for her.
I know GRPS has some truly terrific teachers. It's not that, but the ratio of resources to problems that need resources that concerns me.
I find the state of education in Michigan really distressing. It isn't about the teachers at all--it's about political will to allocate more resources. This is a bit of a sidetrack, but I don't know how anyone in their right mind believes things in this state will improve if we don't provide a world-class public education? It is so cliche, but children really are the future.
It is even more distressing the disparity between districts. Let's just begin widening the gap between haves and have nots even further, starting in pre-school.
