  • Thanks for the info, ladies! I am looking through on Milk and Bravado. It is frustrating that I wear (right now) a ::cough:: 42 F. How do I know how much bigger I will

  • Really, TN? WTH! Sorry, ladies. My day/week/month has been filled with brain farts just like this darn post.

  • umm, wow

I only needed one size bigger. I have an extender piece that I needed for the back, but I didn't get crazy big. I started wearing my nursing bras around 15 weeks (just cuz I bought them and had them) and never had an issue. At that point I was larger than my normal size and never got much bigger. But every woman is different, so it's trial and error, really.

And I never wore the nursing tanks w/out a sleeping bra on as well. So...I guess you don't really need nursing tanks if you're going to wear a sleeping bra all the time too. Then they just end up looking like soft-core pornshirts with the holes cut out. You could just get some regular shelf-bra type tanks. Button down tops are also great for nursing during the day.

  • I absolutely love my nursing tanks! I have some from Gilligan and O'malley's from Target and some Le Leche. Love both, but I have little bewbies. I wanted to buy some nursing bras before having the baby and the lady told me that she usually suggests going up a number and a letter. I went from a 32b to a 34c and she was spot on. Those bras fit me perfectly, but I know that won't necessarily work for everyone.

Anyhow, I pretty much live in nursing tanks around the house and wear a nursing bra with an easily accessible shirt (button down, stretchy tee, regular tank) out and about, usually with a 3/4 sleeve cardigan on top. I think the met important is to find something easy for the nighttime when the last thing you want to do is hold a shirt up!

  • Nursing tanks made/make me feel like an absolute slob. The shape of my floppy huge boobs was/is terrible. Definitely not attractive and my body image was suffering enough.

I had a c/s and was in the hospital for a few days. I wore maternity gouchos, loose pajama bottoms and large T-shirts.
