Re: B&M Monday
This move is approved ONLY if you continue to post on this board and keep in touch with us.
I completely agree. I really miss watching Brothers and Sisters afterwards too!
I hope you enjoy PA! I grew up there and have very fond memories of that area. I also hope that you're able to make the move so that you and your DH can be together...just watch out for those winters

Michelle - I DVR'd Pan Am. Hopefully I'll have time to watch it tonight. I'm glad to hear that you liked it, though.
Did anyone watch Person of Interest last week? DH and I actually really liked it.
Lacy - It's scary, but I think you and your DH living in the same city will make you so much happier.
But yes, continue to post on our board.
Ditto what the others have said. I'm so happy that you may get to live in the same city! But you have to keep up with us here. Oh yeah, if you've never lived up north, the winters blow. But lots of cold nights to cuddle up with each other.
I miss B&S too. Although that plot was getting a bit outlandish as well, and I was starting to lose interest.

Tests were handed back in class this morning and the test I thought I had gotten approx. a 60 on was actually a 95. Not too shabby.
I have nothing to add to the TV discussion as I have realized that I don't watch anything.
Wow! Some Reality Check conversations this morning. I heard about the accident on the radio - absolutely devastating. My Dad's cousin was a State Trooper, and was struck and killed on a highway. Minnesota now has a law that if you see a cop pulling a car over on the freeway, you are obligated to move over a lane to keep extra distance between those on the side of the road and cars. It always makes me shudder a little bit when I see people just walking along the side of the highway.
Happy to hear about Jaycee's book. I'm interested but I think I'm too afraid to read it. I get emotional just thinking about it.
We got the last of our stuff - the things my parents have been storing for us for the past couple years. 60% of it were my "Childhood Memories" boxes. So now we have an entire closet filled with my kiddy goodies.
I decided it would be smart to finally go through all of my boxes from my childhood and clean it out so I emptied all of the boxes in one of our bedrooms. My childhood was not a great time so I'm having a hard time going through everything but I made some progress one weekend but my floor is still covered in the stuff I have yet to go through 9 months later. It's easier to just close the door, LOL.
Yeah, I've already gone through it a couple times - so this is a pared down version of what I used to have. I have good memories of my early childhood so I saved all of that, but pretty much tossed all of my adolescent items. No reason to keep those memories around for my children to discover one day :0)
I'm sorry it's so tough to go through your things - certainly doesn't make it enjoyable at all. I have found the best solution to get through things I'm avoiding is with wine. Lots and lots of wine.

I dont have much to add but this made me really sad and really happy all at the same time.
I remember having those game plans and every year we did the whole record the video thing with finger prints to give to police in case I was abducted and to ensure I knew my address ect.
UGH! It was back on last night? Dang it.

Okay, I have a bit of a B&M. The Rescue group that I work with is having a golf tournament fund raiser this Sunday. I told them I could work an am OR pm shift, I wasn't picky about the job they assigned me. Just give me a time and job that needed to be filled. Well, they went and signed me up for an am AND a pm shift with a 3 hour break in between. This place is 45 minutes from my house, so it is not like I can go home in between and now it is taking up all of my day. I e-mailed the lady back, and she is like, "well, I'll see if I can get someone to split the second shift since it is 4 hours". No, don't sign me up for two shifts without asking.
I feel like my flexibility in saying sign me up for either shift where needed is being taken advantage of. Next year, I will remember to pick the specific time/role that I want. <end rant/>

Thanks yall! I am pretty nervous about the winters up there. I HATE being cold. Maybe I'll just hibernate through the winter.
I would most definitely keep in touch. I would go crazy with no one to talk to up there.
I had to have my blood taken today and it hurt :-( I am such a wimp about getting it done!
Lacey- We watched Persons of Interest and we liked it!
I am just really tired today and don't feel good. I can't wait for 5 to be here!

We have the same law here in Texas, if there is an emergency vehicle or cop on the shoulder (doesn't matter left or right shoulder) you need to move one lane over, if you can't, you need to reduce your speed 20 mph below the posted speed limit.
I hate to say this about the person who lost her life, but never think you can out run cars/trucks driving at 70+ mph!!! As pp mentioned if you are on the tollway system you can call the number on your toll tag or 911 (the 911 on tollway is the dispatch for courtesy patrol and emergencies on tollway)
