Re: Tuesday Randoms
Boo.
I'm sorry.
The market sucks right now for sellers that aren't shortselling or foreclosing.
When we were house shopping earlier this year and last year too, the "regular" sellers couldn't compete with the ss/foreclosures we looked at price-wise. (We ended up buying 1 short sale and 1 foreclosure.) It's a sucky, stressful time to be a legitimate seller.
Are you selling for sure, or are you just ummm...for lack of a better saying...testing the waters? I know you've been on the market for a while. I'm just curious if you're going to keep lowering the price till it sells, or if you have a bottom line set up.
I hope your buyers come soon!
On another note, how are you incisions healing? I woke up the other day with pain coming from my belly button incision. It was strange. It's been over 4 months.
We're selling for sure. We have to get out of here: 1 bathroom isn't cutting it, we're pretty cramped, and the schools are terrible. We've been up and running with a (working, and not lying in her bed, depressed) real estate agent for 5 months now. We had it priced in the middle of the comps. We haven't dropped the price yet. Jim is holding tight. We have some meetings this week with finance folks to see what our wiggle room is. I'm okay with being here for 10 more months, but I'd like Willa to start 1st grade (at the latest) in her perm. school. So, if we can drop the price, do we do it asap, or in the spring when more stock is out there to choose from (and compete with).
I haven't been really stressed out with this process until today.
My incisions are healing up well. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and for a split second couldn't figure out what those lines were. I forgot! Weird about the pain. Has it gone away?
Yes, the pain has gone away, but the incision scars are still as ugly as sin. Bright pink, yuck.
And I don't think my surgeon did an awesome job at sticking up my belly button. (Or maybe my surgeon did the best he could). Ether way, I'm not thrilled with the way it's healing.
Scars are like tattoos, only cooler b/c they have a story.
And my
favorite scar quote : "We must see all scars as beauty... Because take
it from me, a scar does not form on the dying. A scar means I
survived." (from Little Bee by Chris Cleeve) Yup I am a nerd.
That's a great quote, Mira! I think that got me out of my funk.
Sorry you didn't get better feedback.
And I think it is bs that they wasted your time spending so much time viewing your house when they clearly weren't interested.
Have you had any bed bandits view your house? I told you about the time we came home and someone had obviously laid in our bed, right.
