I love all the rain we got this weekend!!
Keep it coming please.
I'm sad I'm not at home with DH on the porch drinking coffee
Re: B&M Monday
I am so beyond tired today... I'm glad to have a day with the whole family together since Jack's out of school for Columbus Day, but at the same time I really could have used some more sleep this morning.
That said, I'm excited to get to work today!
We only thought we got DH's car fixed Friday night. At the moment it is getting checked out by our mechanic and I just can't wait for the bill!! And he is considering looking for another car.
I hardly tackled any of my to-do list this weekend but I have tonight and tomorrow morning to do some damage before my grandma is here.
Sorry BL, I didn't mean to quote you on that. Obviously, I'm not thrilled you didn't feel good.
I'm glad you're over it, though!
BL - Glad you are feeling better
Jaymi - What car are you guys thinking of getting if you have to?
I was bored and found this

If your bored and want to see it. I honestly feel bad for the girl... She's made some bad life choices.

II had a good weekend. We went to Oklahoma for my sister in laws 20th wedding anniversary party. It was a white trash party and there were a lot of funny costumes. I put a few pics up on FB.

I have nothing to B&M about...I had a great weekend!
If I have to complain about something, it is that Titan wouldn't play ball with me and I am sad. :'(
It's a grey day and I love it! I would give anything to cuddle up with my down comforter and a good book. Sigh.
My Mom left yesterday and it was so great having her here to visit. The house is really starting to come together, and it helps makes it feel more like "home".
One thing - we went to dinner on Saturday night to a fantastic restaurant in th Bishop Arts district. Had never been to that area before and it is adorable. I can see myself hanging out down there quite a bit. Hooray for exploring!!!
**This post is not a very good B&M - sorry, I'm just in a really good mood**

I bought a new-to-me-used-car this weekend and I really like it. It's a 2009 Dodge Journey.
And I feel like I didn't get a single ounce of sleep last night - just tossed and turned. I am so tired!

Ummmm, wow. That girl is delusional and in denial. Did you see that she paid $3400 for her wedding shoes?!?!? And someone found her profile on some Sugar Dadddy site? No wonder there's no money.
Craziness. I kind of want her to come back and respond to the responses.....
Strangely enough, I think this gray weather has all of us feeling a little perkier than normal!
It is deadline week... so I probably won't be around much. And if I'm around, I shouldn't be, because I have lots to do. I cannot wait for Friday to get here - the rest of the year should be smooth sailing after that!
Also, I survived the weekend. As we were laying down last night, I told James, when we have kids, I don't want to yell at them. He laughed and said he'd remind me of that when I was yelling at them. I said, I know that I'll probably yell sometimes, but I don't want that to be the default method of parenting... because for BIL & SIL, it is, and it just made me sad for their kids.
Deepthi- DH has an obsession with VW's so I imagine that is what he will end up getting but who knows.
This is me. I laid down at quarter after midnight, and at 1:15, Aunt Flo showed up... with a vengeance. Pain. Think I might die. Will my body EVER regulate itself without BC?
I know! She had 28 guest and spent 30K. I don't know if she'll come back, but I just wonder what she's doing about the situation.
Bri - Nice car! Congrats!
Don't stick with B&M it's better when there are good things

Yay! My grandmother has a Matrix (similar to the Journey) and I love it. When she left it at our house last year when she went to Big Bend, we threatened to not give it back! It's fun and sporty and you can haul a bit.
Given what you've told us about your company and the emphasis on caring for one another, I'd do whatever you need to to make sure he's ok. That would really freak me out, too. Especially if there's no next of kin, I'd want someone to look out for me, if I was in that situation.
There were a ton of cheap tickets on Stubhub for the Ranger game last night but when we got up this morning, most of them are gone. So I don't think we are going. Boo.
I am also tired--it's like Vegas finally caught up with me.
BL, I hope everything is OK! Congrats on the car Bri!

Just do it!
Agreed! Basic signs of a stroke. I would call EMS too. Maybe overkill but better safe then sorry cause you only have a small window before brain functions are permanently effected

A girl I work with has seizures, and this sounds like her when she was having reactions to meds - I don't think you'd be out of line to go check on him (if I were him, I know I'd appreciate it). Maybe take another coworker or someone with you, just in case you need help when you get there?
This exactly. If something doesn't feel right about how he's acting, I would definitely follow-up.
I have more good news - two friends had their babies this weekend!!!
One of the arrivals is particularly emotional - right after my friend found out she was pregnant, her husband (my brother's best friend) was diagnosed with cancer. He's been going through treatments (chemo/radiation) and he's slowly improving - just in time for their new baby. The baby is appropriately named Faith. Gives me warm fuzzies.
Thank goodness. I was worried for him!
My office is freezing. And it's distracting me from working. The Nest has nothing to do with my being distracted haha.
Hello Ladies - I have lots of things but this morning was spent in the library, so I was not here.
#1 - BL - I am glad you are feeling better. Book club was fun but it wasn't the same without you (or Jaymi!), hope to see you guys next month!
#2 - Aforementioned book club was a great time. Lacey - those spinach bread bowls were a big hit at the party I went to. I was asked for the receipe and told them to see Pinterest.
#3 - Tiffany - Titan was a jerk to me all of Saturday and then Randall came home and all of a sudden he was full of playful energy. So don't feel bad.
#4 - We bought the tile for our kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room and fireplace yesterday. We are doing this to our fireplace (just the part from the mantle down) and I am incredibly excited about it:
#5 & finally a B&M - There was a 9 wk old baby girl at the TX/OU party I went to this weekend. Her mom had her hands full with her three year old brother, so I volunteered to hold the sweet baby and got in an hour + of quality baby time. Which was awesome but bittersweet as my neighbors were there and they were giving Randall a hard time about "you're next" and "watch out, she's got the fever!" He took it well and laughed it off, teasing them back but I could see the pain on his face.
Leslie - Haha, okay.. that helps, a little. Love the Fireplace!! ...and sorry about the neighbors. =(
ETA: Also, I started reading the book. I totally know more than I ever wanted to know already!
I love that fireplace setup - our tv is above ours, and we love it there. Do you know where you're putting all the other tv components? We have some kind of very smart remote, so ours is hidden in a cabinet in the hallway around the cornere, and the remote works through the wall. If you want the brand, I can look... that is about all I know about it though. Oh, and it's smarter than me.
That really stinks about the teasing... I try to never badger people who have been married a while anymore, because 1, they may not be able to have kids, or 2, they may just really not want them, and just be tired of the constant pressure. Either way, I may still ask people when they want kids, but I try to not be pushy about it at all! I think a lot of people could learn this lesson too.
1. Leslie -- I LOVE your fireplace!!!! Oh my gosh, that is beautiful.
2. Angie/Leslie - We also have our tv over our fireplace, and DH put all of our components in the actual fireplace. We (obviously) don't plan to light a fire, so he cleaned it out and it actually looks really good.
3. The baby badgering is always awkward - I just don't get it. At some point, those same people were getting the "When are you guys going to have kids" so they know how it feels.
