P.S. My SIL is a real winner. She is three months along and was bragging she lost 6 pounds in her pregnancy. I've never had a child, but I don't think that is healthy.

I l have lost a total of 10 lbs during this pregnancy. I may have gained some of it back now but depending on her weight pre-pregnancy the dr might not worry or think it's unhealthy to lose during pregnancy. I'm a bigger girl so my dr wasn't worried until I was losing 3 lbs a week and not getting the right amount of nutrients. In the last 2 weeks or so I have started being able to eat more and eat better foods. I'm sure I have gained now but losing isn't always unhealthy, unless she was super skinny to begin with.

I lost weight at first (because I was so sick and I could eat from being nauseas)... and I was 110 lbs when I got pregnant... so I was thin. My doctor just monitored, but told me that I needed to be gaining weight. But, I don't think that bragging about it was ever on my to-do list...

Dana - I'm glad he perked up and is starting to come around. Pretty soon he's going to be wrapped around her little finger, before she even makes her debut! How is SD handling things, now that she knows she'll have a little sister?

Thanks. The party was fun. We had a good turn out and everyone was so happy with the results, well except DH. He really wanted a boy. He had a lot to deal with that night and we were with friends and family. He is on board now and we are talking names but we just can't seem to agree. I think he is still a little sad it's not a boy. We did buy a little pink bib at Target the other day and it was his idea so I know he's excited I think the shock needs to wear off.

Bring on the bows and ruffles. My mom and sisters are so excited and going overboard already. I don't think we will ever have to buy anything for this little one. My sister already told her bf that any extra money she has will be going to buy cute baby stuff and that she is taking a week off after she is born and moving in with me lol. I'm excited and can't wait to start decorating and all that fun stuff.

I hope that he dealt with it in less than a second and went on to celebrate this happy time for you both. Please remind him that there are people that struggle daily with TTC issues and he is beyond blessed to have not only one but two healthy, beautiful daughters... and a wife that doesn't punch him square in the nose sometimes.

He was good while family was there. After they left and it was just his friends and a few of mine he was a little less but he was still good. It did help that my sister and BIL that can't have kids and have had to adopt 2 were there because he does agree 100% that as long as she happy and healthy. He had a lot of hopes and dreams already for the boy that he thought we'd have so it was just a shock. And believe me the punching him in the nose sounds like a good idea a lot of the time. He was great Sunday and yesterday about it and was telling me today we needed to start getting the room ready for his "new princess" so like I said I think it was just more shock and not so much anything else. He did say if we ever decide to have another one that we won't be doing a gender reveal party.

He knows that it was a 50/50 shot of a girl, right? Wink

Caroline, Annabelle, Madelyn, Charlotte. I really like the name Grace for a middle name but again he's not too sure. He hasn't thrown out anything except Dina (his dad's name was Dean and I think he still wants to name her after him but Dina and Dana are too close IMO)

SD is excited. She actually came up with some names for us last night, Ariel, Aura, Jasmine, Lily and Makayla (her name) lol.

I had to lol at this though because my Uncle David wanted to name my Uncle Kevin "Orangie" like their cat.

I wouldn't want to name my child something that was close to my name. But that's just me. I like the names you suggested. He better start suggesting some! Did he have boy names picked out?

What about using her middle name as a tribute to his dad? Maybe DeAnn... it's still kind of similar to Dana, but 1, it doesn't end in an A, so it doesn't have the same rhythm, and 2, it's a middle name so it's less confusing. SD's contributions made me chuckle too... yay for Disney princesses

I love Madelyn but DH doesn't like it. Lily grace is pretty too! DH doesn't like a lot of the names I like. :-(

I like Lily Grace also. I would go with Lillian though and nn Lily. I do like that it's the only non-princess name SD came up with. I agree DH needs to start throwing out some suggestions. I thought of Deann for a middle name also but I guess it would have to depend on the first name. We had the boy name all picked out and now it's back to square 1 with the girl name.

A girl on my month board just had a little girl and named her Emerson Grace... I thought it was a really sweet name.

Our girl name is Kathryn Rose (Rose after my mom) and our boy name was supposed to be Bradley James (James after his dad) but Daniel doesn't like Bradley anymore since it would be shortened to Brad. I don't think I would like people calling him "BJ" either. So maybe Cooper James.
