Where do you get your K-cups? I usually order mine off of the Keurig website. There are so many sites that carry K-cups, but I never know if they are legit or not. I'm just trying to get the best deal possible because we seem to go through them pretty fast. BF is now hooked on a certain brand and of course that brand is never carried in stores, only online.
Re: If you have a Keurig
Amazon because I'm lazy and they have free shipping. I don't think they are the best price though.
We're kind of going out.
That's a really good price!
I wish I had a connection like that. Best I've done is 30% off on top of the sale price at Kohl's.
That's where I used to order them from for my old office. Great deal and they have a good selection.
We recently stopped getting them from Keurig...
Target, Bed Bath.....
I have the My K-cup filter and do not care for the coffee at all. It's really weak, IMO.
Do you get a certain grind of coffee for it that makes it taste better?
Lurker here, but I love my coffee! Solofill reusable filter (the my k-cups are terrible), Starbucks beans, have them do a french press grind in the store or coarsely ground at home. The solofill cup was $15 at Bed Bath and Beyond.
I actually have the solofill filter too and it is slightly better than the My K-cup. I'm still not overly impressed with the coffee made from it. I even use the 5 oz setting on my Keurig. I will have to check into the French press grind. I would actually prefer to use my own coffee if I can find a way to make it taste as good as the k-cups.
Definitely try a coarser grind. If the grind is too fine I think the water channels through the coffee and doesn't pick up most of the flavor.
Yes, I have the Platinum. I brew everything on the 5.25 oz (I think that's it) setting. The only time I use the smaller oz size is when I brew iced coffee. For the K-cups it's the perfect size. Any smaller and I'll have to brew 3 cups to get a decent amount of coffee!
