Remember how hard you thought life was at 20?

Re: Remember how hard you thought life was at 20?

  • I'd been married 2 years (or 3, depending on which part of 20 we're talking. It was 3 years for the last month), was walking about 70% of the time and had taken to baking. I was running a small baking business out of my home and was manic as hell.

When I look back, it was the one of the happiest times of my life. But that was probably the mania, too.

But, you know, that was only 3 years ago. The last two years have actually been kind of hard because of the bipolar diagnosis. So I guess 21 and 22 were worse than 20.

  • When I was 20 I was a junior in college and studying hard for my major...I thought I was on to a great big well paying job.

    Bwahahaha....

Fooey.  Hospitals SUCK when it comes to raises for their health care personnel. And the ones that give the worst raises to their people are Catholic hospitals.

I did that for 7 years, then went into a bigger and better field.

  • I barely remember 20 anymore, it's been too long.

There was a lot of vodka involved. And probably rum. And a string of losers I thought were all "the one" at one point or another.

    20 was fun. I think.

    Oh, FFS.

When I was 20, I was high. That's all I can tell you about 20.

Yep, this was me.  Somehow I still graduated college.

Same here. I bet TIP remembers more of my 20th year than I do.

And it wasn't even that long ago. I just know I was working for a great company and going to school. How I managed to pass my classes is still a mystery.

  • No, 20 was pretty great b/c I ignored the consequences

They came back to bite me in the ass at 21, 22, 23 ans so on

  • When I was 20, i was a sophomore in college living the life.

I was partying to my hearts content completely on my parents' bill:from classes to pocket money and didn't have a care in the world. The hardest part of 20 was trying not to fail!

I was freakishly in love with my child hood sweetheart and was good for drunk dialing him after a night of partying or listening to slow jams while swooning and getting all emo over him. I was convinced we were destined to be together.

As a side note, he had a kid with a gf he treats like ***, his parents strong armed him into marrying her and now they BOTH live in his mother's house. He's often seen running the streets enjoing life, while she's cooped up in her room taking care of their baby. I know this cause his parents are my parents' next door neighbor. And my mom is a gossip queen!

  • At 20,

*Met my husband but didn't start dating him until a year later.  I did date a douvhe bag who used me for money and tested me to see how far he could push me.  I didn't stay with him for long.

    *My uncle was brutally murdered

*Attended a very liberal college learning more and more every day that I am very conservative.  They really don't like the 1% where I went to college.  LOL

*I worked full time at one job and part time at another.

*I lived at home with my parents and seven siblings (I am the oldest)

    20 wasn't too hard.
