Next to last day of work, eff yeah!  Looking forward to sleeping in on Monday.  But then I made a ton of appointments for next week.  My car (tires, fluids, etc.), another daycare, dentist, more blonde highlights because I'm vain and it's too brown for me to be happy with any newborn photos, massage, etc.

Get all of that stuff out of the way and then you can enjoy the rest of your time off before baby and just relax!!! :-)

So are you guys still trying to find daycare?

  • Shauni, was Company Men bad?  I kind of love Ben Affleck, so it's on my list to see.  Was it bad?  I keep watching The Town over and over because it's on cable right now and I love the Boston accent.

Brew, I agree with Angie, get your H to an attorney for some advice on the business!  I get that it is probably making him anxious to pay off the business loan, but paying off fast is not always the best thing.  For example, my parents have heart palpitations at the thought that H and I aren't paying our student loans off as fast as we can, but we only have government loans at ridiculously low interest, so it makes more sense to pay extra on a car loan or something.  They'd just rather not owe anyone anything.

Xtine, any thoughts what you want from BBB?  I kind of always forget to go in that store, but if I do go in, I find stuff I HAVE TO have, like all that Seen on TV crap.

This weekend is the dreaded Birthday party/housewarming party. (The one where niece's 1st b-day party is happening, paid for by MIL and aunt since SIL is a deadbeat, and cousin's have housewarming party in the evening which MIL is boycotting.)  I'm excited to see some family, but as sad as this is, i'm not excited to be around MIL and SIL.  They both just act like SIL is doing a fabulous job at life and raising the baby.  The rest of the family doesn't know all the drama, so it just makes me wanna puke when everyone is all happy/cheery towards SIL.  Yeah, I'm a negative nancy when it comes to this crap.

I think there is one of those people in every family. My SIL isn't quite a deadbeat because she is quite young, but she can seem to do no wrong. It is frustrating sometimes when my MIL does not realize she is being taken advantage of and that SIL has no responsibilities. Still, I am trying real hard to work on my relationship with SIL and try to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Props to you on working on it.  I tried so hard in the past and I just don't have the the energy to do it anymore.  And honestly, i think deep down, i'm still REALLY bothered by some of the things that have happened.  For example: her loser ex-boyfriend who used to beat her got mine and J's number and would call leaving messages saying he was going to come rape me and slit my throat.  One time when we had an in person encounter with him and we were trying to stop SIL from going with him, he was sitting in his car with a knife and the only reason he didn't come after us (according to SIL), is because she was there, yet she was sitting there laughin.   I've caught her stealing from us too and the constant lying is enough to drive me insane.  Yet, MIL doesn't see what the problem is.........

  • Moleson, we were going to just pick between these two that are in our town, on the way to work for both of us, but MIL recommended another chain, and they have a location 1.5 mi from my work.  It would mean only I could do pick up/drop off, but I'm at least checking it out.  Honestly, I think BD would be fine in any of these, so it's kind of eenie meenie at this point.

  • Morning ladies!

Another day mostly off and only have to be at the rink for 3 hours tonight. So needed this. Tomorrow I am in a new fifth grade for the day, it should be good though as I know half of the class. Right now the 4th and 5th grades are my favorite groups to work with.

My Sephora package got delayed a day so it will be arriving today...I can't wait! I ordered new face wash, cream, and a mask. Trying to get ahead on the winter take over of my skin this year.

Volleyball last night went well. Love my new shoes and we actually won a game for the first time! It was great and I am not too bruised up or sore today.

  • Morning All.  I came in to work today because I had to keep myself busy.  I will try to be as unproductive as I possibly can be.

Yesterday was a rough day.  At least we were able to go to the funeral home and pick her casket, and services.  I will be making programs/prayer cards for her service.  The viewing will be next Wed and burial Thurs.  My aunt wanted to have the burial next Monday, Halloween, but the rest of us did not like that idea.

We have to pick out 50 photos for the photo tribute.  That is going to be tough.  We also have to pick out the flowers.  I'm going to check prices at local shops during lunch today.  I'll check online too, perhaps I can get a better deal.  It sucks that I'm freaking broke right now because I don't know how I'll be able to pay for the flowers.  I may have to make the flower arrangements myself.

Last night my aunt and I went to buy a really pretty pearl necklace for her to wear.  My aunt is going to knit her a cute hat too.

I'm trying to help with the planning services as much as I can since I know her kids (my mom, aunts, and uncles) are really grieving and I want to take some of that load off them.

Last night I was so tired I went to bed at 10:00.  I was physically and emotionally drained, not to mentioned I had 5 beers.  My eyes are burning this morning from all the crying, and my damn contacts keep drying up so I have to rinse them out every half hour.

Sorry if all of this is putting a downer on this board.  On the positive we had some good news.

    Lyns- Big Smile

    Angie- Congrats!

It was good, I liked it.  Interesting timing what with OWS etc.

Debdeb, I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother and I wish you peace and support while you grieve.  Nothing at all helps while you are going through this, and it has been a year since my bubbie passed and I still cry driving by her street (which is right next to my office...)  Also, your grandma was such a little cutie pie i cannot stand it!

  • Deb - Thinking of you dear. I have lost three of my grandparents and was especially close to one of my grandfathers. I still tear up on the regular when something reminds me of him and he passed away almost 8 years ago.
  • Wow. It's busy around here this morning girls! I didn't get over here until now and it took me forever just to read and catch up.

Congrats to Angie and Lyns! For different reasons of course!

So sorry for the loss of your grandma Deb. Let us know if we can do anything to help out.

I made my first official sale on etsy! I am working on it as soon as I post this so it can be sent to work with H and shipped out tomorrow. SO excited about that! Also trying to get started on the mugs H's boss ordered for Christmas b/c there are 15 of them and I would rather get them done than have to rush when things get closer. Did not take a job for today, so I got to sleep in a bit and wont have to stress myself out to get this order done and shipped.
