Ahhhhh I see the 17 year old (Joyce + Paul) who's getting married DD
Re: Ahhhhh I see the 17 year old (Joyce + Paul) who's getting married DD
I don't understand this insane rush to get married at that age... I met my now husband when I was 17 and fell madly in love, but instead of ruining my life and marrying him I went to college and married him 7 years later after our relationship stood the test of time. I knew I'd marry him one day, and that it would be worth the wait.
I know in most cases kids rush into marriage due to religion and waiting to have sex but really, if you marry for sex it's not going to be very good anyway. Or even if it is, it's going to suck down the road when reality hits and you have no education, no money, and no means to improve your situation. But I really don't understand these scenarios where they're not waiting and yet they still are getting married...
I'm 23 and am 4 classes away from getting my degree. Been in a relationship with my H for almost 4 years. Let the girl do what she wants. You don't have to be her mom. Honestly. I wish I never went to school. I think the experience was nice to have, and I did grow in some way. I make AWESOME money now, the only problem is that I don't have mommy to help me pay back my student loans... like other people. I pay for everything MYSELF. If I didn't go to school I wouldn't have 400 worth of debt every month for something I don't want to do. People can be happy with themselves in just different ways than just "go to school.. get a degree... you will be so much better off... blah blah blah." Actually, in my shoes... I would be better off not having to pay back student loans.. and for the next uggghhh... 20 years. haha.
BUT... 17 is really young. I didn't even know who I was back then. Whatever makes you happy though. You make your own bed.
LOL. Dang... that's a hostile statement.
Everyone goes through rough patches. I am a newlywed but have been with my H for almost 4 years and have lived together for almost 3!!!
Life is what you make of it, and so is your relationship. Not saying it's not going to get hard. I KNOW it does... a lot has sh!t on my yard but my marriage is still AWESOME. It's all about who you pick to be honest.
