I'm dying of boredom.  This next hour is going to be painful.

    Sad

I'm completely on the struggle bus with my studying today.  Torts exam is next and if you don't know what a tort is, just think of it as short for "torture."

I keep doing computer aided lessons and practice MCQs, but feel like I'm getting nowhere.  Because my studying has been so terribly inefficient today, that means I get to stay in the library until 8 p.m.  I've been here since 10 a.m.  I'm looking for 8-10 good hours everyday.

  • GAH!  Now, I know that there are a lot of real problems and saddness out there.  I know this is little and will be over soon, but... GAH!

Me (like, a month ago):  here is the script.  the story is done, but character movement needs to be added.  because I'm new to this, I don't think I'm the best person to do that.

    Them: nothing.... for 3 weeks.

Them (last week): woah!  We need to add in movement for the cast!  Let's do that.

Me: Yes, I suggested that a month ago.

    Them: Let's meet this week.

Me: How about Tuesday or Friday morning?

    Them: nothing.

    Me: ?

Them: ohmygoshweneed to do this!  Amy!  Can you do this?!

This is an eye-roll worthy post, but a great house came on the (investor) market yesterday.  I'm bummed we aren't in a position to buy it.  Boo.  It would be a fun one to redo and a great money maker.

I'm seriously jealous of you LLing skills.

Something more eyeroll worthy: L and I occupy a significant portion of our time by planning a grand renovation of our condo after I finish school.  Our plans are seriously ridiculous, but I hope we are able to do it.  And then I'll throw a fabulous party to show it off when it's done Smile

You are a saint for dealing with this.  No joke.

Ditto.  I'm a little speechless right now on the entire situation, so "ditto" will work for now.  Man, oh man.

All of the nesties will totally be invited.  But you are going to have to wait at least three years.

  • So, now after the kids are in bed, Jim and I are going throught the whole pageant script using Little People for parts, so I can write out the freaking stage directions.

    Yes

I know this sucks for you (and that the whole process has been pretty sucktastic), but I have no doubt that you will be fantastic at this and the pageant will be 1000x better because you were involved.

I think the firemen are going to be the wisemen, the farm animals are going to be, well... animals, and so on.

Thanks, DP.  It's a zillion times more rediculous than I would have anticipated it to be.  There was another new mom who they recruited, and she told me she was going to quit because there was so much drama.  I think I talked her into sticking around with the promise that next year will be wayyyyyy easier.

Ummmm... I hope it's not a bajillion miles between Muskegon and GR, because I just applied for a job there after convincing myself, it's not that far.  Indifferent

  • GRSP - I echo Diana's sentiments: You're a saint!  Volunteer/committee drama is the pits!  And your situation sounds so, so frustrating.

LOL, it's not that far.  I used to commute from our house to downtown pretty frequently and it's not that bad.  Of course there are a few winter days where it's less pleasant.

Also, Molly lives another 15 miles north on US 31.  If the job is not far from the 96/31 interchange and considering where you live, it would be fine.

Winter is going to be rough!

Good luck with the job though, for real!  There are only a few days a year that I wouldn't drive to GR.
