  • I got 27. I haven't been to any of the east coast things though. And I'm such a loser, I haven't even been to Crater Lake and I used to live fairly close to that. I might be 26 though, I think we may have gone to the Hancock building and not Sears Tower. I can't remember. It's not quite as memorable as some of the other things on the list.

  • 36 for sure, plus some I think my parents probably took me to as a kid/teen, but can't say for sure.

I agree that the list is pretty random.  I've been to a lot of places that were a lot more worthwhile than many of the destinations on that list.  For example, Verinassi and the Taj Mahal were two of the most disappointing stops we made in 6 weeks in India.  I'd put the Golden Temple and Kajaraho on that list instead.  Also, what's up with double dipping on the Vatican?  Those two things are on the same flipping tour!  (Not that they weren't amazing...)

  • god, sillygoosegirl, do you have ANY friends?
  • Oh, winged, she's had friends since before she could talk.  Her parents taught her that friendship is the glue that holds the world together, so it's never occurred to her not to have friends.  She has way more friends than the average person, and yet each relationship is incredibly close and secure.  Although she respects her American friends, she considers her friends in Caracas, Venezuela and Addis Ababa to be true gems.

  • You, my dear, are the true gem.
