Gifts from exes

Re: Gifts from exes

  • I don't have anything from any exes and I don't think DH would appreciate if I did.  My HS boyfriend of 2 years gave me a ring and I have no clue what I did with it.  My college boyfriend of 3ish years gave me a beautiful blue topaz James Avery ring and a necklace that I LOVED but when we broke up on not the greatest terms I gave them to my then-irresponsible teenager step-sister who proceeded to scratch up and probably lose both.  I wasn't going to give them back to him and I sure wasn't going to keep them...but I thought it would be awful to just throw away such pretty (and at that time in my life, expensive) jewelry so I gave both away.

I gave Mel all the gold and the tiffany stuff - and I never accepted the e-ring.

This is Tiffany stuff from you know who...

Well, C shouldn't get upset - that was a horrid relationship and the random jewlery means nothing about the relationship!

  • I had some jewelry from old boyfriends cluttering up my jewelry box. I sold everything at a gold-buying party last year and made a couple hundred bucks. It was nothing fancy and I wasn't emotionally attached to any of it.  If I had anything I still liked I would wear it. DH doesn't mind.
