We spent most of the weekend prepping for the move and then moving, so I am just exhausted today. Plus, this kid has been giving me the most wicked heartburn I cannot even sleep. I throw up in my mouth a lot. Hezzerlah. And so, I wish I could go back to bed.
We moved into the new apartment yesterday and the demo starts today on our house. I took pics before and will take some during and after and share with you all if you are interested.
Yesteday was Dagger's first day ever in his life without a nap and he did pretty good considering, so that is good. He went to bed really early though so I hope he does that again tonight.
I didn't watch any of the game, but I did check FB this morning to see who won.
Sorry Mass-sluts. Congrats NY contingent.
Re: How was your weekend?
We watched The Help Friday night and went to see The Artist on Saturday. We're still working our way through all the nominees, but so far The Artist has my vote for best picture. It was lovely.
I feel hungover from my junk food consumption last night.
We had a great weekend. We went to the Children's Museum on Saturday morning where Ian got to ride on a piece of construction equipment and play in the water.
Fran started fixing a piece of the kitchen counter on Saturday afternoon, then decided he wants to redo all the counters, so yesterday we went granite shopping, then furniture shopping to get ideas for Ian's old room.
I made veal parmigiana for dinner Saturday night and it was delicious.
Last night was consumed by watching the Super Bowl and eating a lot of food.
My heart is sad today. However it was a close game and I am trying to be a good sport. It is not really working. My brother in law was at the game. He is not a happy camper.
Other than that my weekend was good and included a lot of eating and relaxation. We tried a new place for breakfast on Saturday morning and I loved it.
I had a great weekend!
Dinner with the BF and another couple at this really cute gastropub on Friday. Assisted with a photo shoot (and also did the model's hair and makeup) on Saturday. Made turkey meatloaf, garlic mashed potatoes and peanut butter cookies, which were later consumed with BF. Superbowl party last night, which I was anxious about, but it ended up being a nice time (and everyone liked the cookies I made, which was a nice bonus).
I want another weekend now, please.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
QUIT IT!
(Ok, don't. You know I love it!)
I'm bummed. Someone had to lose, I know that. But... butt. Butte. It would have been a lot cooler if they won.
I'm deciding where to post something gross... I might be back.
My weekend was good. We took the kids to the pool. Owen has always hated it, but finally did okay, so that was a positive.
We used a real non relative babysitter Saturday night, the kids did great. It was awesome. They know her from the gym child care area, so when she got there Owen rushed right over for a hug, then touched her face. I think he has a crush. :-)Mike and I had a nice dinner at one of our favorite spots.
Sunday we took the kids shoe shopping and ate a lot of mexican food during the game. And M&M's, for some strange reason. They were tasty. Can't tell you the last time I bought some.
i probably watched a total of a 1:30 minutes of the game; the last minute, and a few score checks. and the last half of halftime. i didn't have control of the remote.
yet we ate like we were watching.
it was a pretty lowkey weekend. i spent a lot of time playing. for some reason the only books alison wants me to read lately are her christmas themed books. i am starting to read mickey mouse clubhouse christmas in the most dull uninterested voice imaginable to try to dissuade her from making me read it ten times in a row. so far, not working!

Weekend was good. Miles had his first swim lesson on Saturday. He did really well until I dunked him and then he cried for five minutes straight. We did some house related shopping - bought a new TV console and a rug. Tres exciting.
Sunday we went out for brunch, went to BB&B for some housewares and discovered that Miles' favorite teacher works there on the weekend. So he spent the entire time there playing hide and go seek with her. It made me so happy to see how excited he was to spend extra time with her. Then we ordered pizza and wings and watched the game while Miles ran around the house with his nerf football yelling "hut hut hut!". He really loved the Madonna halftime show. While I love Madonna, I was kind of meh about the show, especially the new song. I do love me some MIA though.
And dude, how depressing was that CR-V ad? Ferris Bueller is now middle aged and driving an effing Honda?! When last we checked he was 17 and tooling around town in a Ferrari. Way to make me feel old, Honda. Thanks a lot.

the weekend was good until the end of the game last night, I still can't believe it really happened, again.
I drank an obscene amount of wine last night and don't even have a smidge of a hangover, I don't know how that happened, but I hope I do it again.
Mine was not great. I officially got a new diagnosis from my psych on Friday which meant a med change. And I've been in withdrawal from my ADs since then. I feel like shiit.
Also, I fvcked up Brett's Birthday yesterday. I kept asking him if he wanted a cake or a special dinner or something and he always said it didn't matter. And then last night, while eating cereal for dinner, he asked if I got him a cake. Fvcker. I'm going to pick up his favorite takeout and get a king cake tonight to make it up to him.
Oh, we saw The Grey last night. Pretty good, but the theater was so cold. I wondered if they were doing it on purpose, based on the movie, because the lobby was toasty.

This weekend felt like a holiday weekend. The city was basically shut down on Friday and Saturday due to snow (but that didn't stop people in my office from freaking out that FedEx wasn't running, and demanded that their stuff be picked up. Fu(king attorneys, man).
In celebration of a snow day, I drank too much Thursday night and have felt hungover all weekend.
We got Andy all excited to go play in the snow on Saturday. We get all bundled and go out, my husband and I start jumping in the snow and having a grand old time. We toss Andy out in the snow, and he freaks out. He was not having it AT ALL. He yelled until we got him back to the cleared off sidewalk and then demanded that we go back home to watch TV. I fear we have created a homebound monster.
Last night, Andy and I accidently cracked heads. The entire left side of my face hurts and is slightly bruised and swollen. The kid, on the other hand, barely flinched upon impact. His head is made of steel.
I got a fountain Diet Coke from the store in my building this morning. It seriously tasted like paint thinner. I had to dump it out, it was so gross. That was not a nice way to start Monday morning.

My weekend sucked. I made cakes all day on Friday and then did homework all night. Saturday I ran errands, painted the new condo (HATE PAINTING) and then promptly crashed at 9pm. Yesterday I woke up at 5:30 to do homework and finished at 9:00 last night. I didn't watch the superbowl or commercials. Also, Winged continued to kick my rear end in Scramble with Friends.
This morning was Emmett's surgery and it went well. The doctor said that from when she saw him on Thursday to this morning the fluid levels were super high in his ears (higher than she's seen in that time span) and she's glad we went ahead with the surgery. The gave him the equivalent of baby Valium while we were in the pre-op area and he was really funny and loopy. Now he's sleeping and I'm getting ready to go grocery shopping for the week. My mom is coming in on Wednesday for a week and I'm beyond excited. I miss my mommy.

I'm no expert, but to me it sounds like Brett fvcked up Brett's birthday. Sorry bout your meds. That sucks.
Winger, tell me about your reno. I've seen you talk about it, but I think I missed what you're actually having done.
We spent Saturday at Babies R Us registering. It was *slightly* overwhelming. I was in charge of the scanny gun, and we wound up with a billion pacifiers on our list, and no clothing at all. Oops. Also, I have lots of questions about breast pumps.
Yesterday we made chili and cornbread, and had some friends over for the game. I have so much food leftover. I have an entire pan of dip that I didn't even bother to put out, because there was just too much.

We never registered for clothes. People that are going to buy you clothes are probably just going to buy what they like anyway.
The only clothes we registered for were sleep sacks. After my shower I just went to BRU and bought a package of onesies and a package of sleep and plays so I'd have something to start out with.
You know, you're right. I think part of my bad feeling about it is that I'm pretty sure his parents didn't even call him. I just wish it had turned out better for him.
And thank you. I know it will be over soon enough. That helps.

Are you officially ttc then garlic? How exciting.
Sb, I'm sorry the mere are throwing you for a loop. Did they not taper you at all?
Coley, I'm glad everything went well. You'll be so glad very soon.
My weekend was pretty good. I had a pretty decent run on Friday and upped my distance by about 1/4 a mile (although I'm still doing a run/walk combo).
I went out with a friend on mine on Saturday and feasted on Chinese buffet and then went to see The Descendants. She's from Hawaii, so it was interesting hearing her take on it. And it was just nice to hang out and talk and laugh with her for a few hours.
Yesterday we loaded up my car with a bunch of styrofoam because some school was having a special recycling event for it, but they were completely full when we got there and weren't accepting any more. Boo. So that trip was a waste of time. I watched the Super Bowl and the halftime show for the first time ever (I usually change the channel for the halftime show). I thought they were going to play a preview for the Hunger Games during the game -- did I miss it? I also watched Rio and did some knitting.

I was at the lowest dose on two different ADs so there was no tapering to be had.
I think it's also the new med I'm on, it's supposed to cause grogginess, etc. at first. I'm just so freaking tired.
