Re: How was your weekend?
I think you need to go dark brown. Actual change.
I may just do that. And probably with box dye to save some $$$ and probably pretty soon.
My neighbor goes to some dude that charges over $300 for her color, and I can never tell a difference. I hate that she wants to engage me in conversations about low-lights. I don't get it.
My weekend was fab. I took Friday off of work to go downtown for all the Super Bowl festivities. It was really a lot of fun. I couldn't believe how much of a transformation occured downtown. I have been hearing about all the work for what seems like years, but to see all the details we had in place was just mind boggling.
Saturday I had big plans to be productive, and instead I was called into work a couple times and then went home for a nap.
Yesterday we made chili, and some snacks- including a chicken curry dip that was totally delicious. Then we took the dog for a 3 mile walk, and watched the game. I love the double whammy of Tom Brady losing to Eli, in Peyton's hometown.
Oh good. I'm so glad. I mean, we hear all the great stuff here, but we're biased. I did look up non-local media outlets and couldn't find a complaint anywhere. There were soooo so many small touches that really made me proud. I'm trying to think of them now.
Everyone who was with the media had a plate of cookies in their room, along with a hardwritten note from a 3rd grader about their favorite thing in Indy.
All the volunteers wore blue and white knitted scarves, each made by a different volunteer.
Flash mob in the airport to greet guests! (wish I had known about that one!)
The village was centered in downtown, right alongside all the best hotels and shopping. When we had dinner on Friday, we expected to have a 45 minute or more wait, and we were seated at my favorite bar within 5 minutes.
Tons of free concerts day after day. Including LMFAO, who I wanted to see on Friday but there were so many people there that I got panicky and left.
There was cheap parking every day. On Friday, we paid 20 dollars to park all day, less than a block from the village. Amazing.
Overall, Indy seriously is a great city. We have so much going on with sports, and a ton of great restaurants and bars downtown that have been around for ages. I wish I had spent more time down there, because the weather was gorgeous too.
Time to assume the position. Get down on all fours.
Pinch the head. Or pinch a loaf.
No. Maybe. I don't even know anymore. I'm having labor flashbacks.
wait, aren't you TTC?
I bet you are in the family way.
My weekend? Well, we're die-hard Patriots fans, so . . .

Tummy, you have worm sign in your gut the likes of which even God has never seen. You better stay close to the terlit.
My weekend was both good and lame. The lame part was my convalescing husband. Yeah, wisdom teeth suck, but common, could you at least get out of bed before 12? Pretty sure he was milking it.
The great part was the fabulous weather we had all weekend. I did a ton of gardening. I planted 5 blueberry bushes, a few rose bushes, herb pots, and primroses. And my broccoli and cauliflower sprouted! My hourly checking finally paid off.
I didn't watch the Super Bowl. Instead I read a book about canning. Does anybody here can? Where do you buy your supplies?
