Pay it Forward
Secondhand Lions
Marley and Me
Hachi: A Dog's Tale
Beaches
The Way We Were
Dead Poets Society
Patch Adams
Schindler's List
Most of these are older.
I know there was one fairly recently that made me ugly cry in the theater, but I cannot remember what it was.
Snow!
<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DYES! Thank you. I was reading through the post waiting for someone to say it. Every.Single.Time.
I also agree with P.S. I love you (ugly, ugly cry) The Notebook, A Walk to Remember and The Family Stone.
Seven Pounds was definitley and ugly/bad cry for me! I couldn't even talk to my husband after seeing that!
I'm so glad I'm not alone!! I cried during that and my sister (7 yrs younger than me) laughed at me! I'm super sensitive and cry very easily during movies.
Did anyone else cry at Rise of the Planet of the Apes?? I bawled during it!!
My Girl
Harry Potters 4-7 (once characters started dying, I got super emotional)
I watched 50/50 last night and was surprised by how emotional it was
A Walk to Remember
Titanic (when Rose dies at the end and rejoins everyone who went down with the ship.. gets me every time!)

Deep Impact
Ladder 49
Marley & Me
and since my mom went through cancer, any movie that has to do with someone dying of a long, drawn-out illness.
ETA - The last HP movie, as well as any movie that has to do with 9/11 (United 93, World Trade Center), are guaranteed to ruin me.
Totally Stepmom. I ugly cry every single time.
And Toy Story 3, from the point the toys are going into the incincerator to the very end. LOL
PS - I Love You is one huge roller coaster of emotion. OMG, if you think crying ugly in a theater is bad, try doing it on an airplane. Bad movie choice for a flight!!
UP - especially the opening montage. :'(
Old Yeller - This is probably the first movie I ever cried at, and where an animal dies that just kills me.
What Dreams May Come - so depressing, but at least the ending makes up for it.
First of all, I hate this thread. Now I feel sad.
I don't cry during movies hardly ever. Toy Story 1 actually is one of the first I remember making me cry... when Buzz realizes he can't fly... death of innocence and childhood naivity? lame.
Stepmom, Of Mice & Men, and Marley & Me are all top contenders for me too.
I'm an animal lover, so when I recently saw War Horse, my husband thought that I'd have leave the theater. BAWLING my eyes out, sobbing, having trouble breathing kind of cry.
Others of note:
PS I love you
Life is Beautiful
Up
I've cried at numerous other movies but these are the more memorable ones.
I cry fairly easily at movies, but the 3 that made me do the "ugly" cry are:
The English Patient
The Green Mile
Steel Magnolia's
They are also 3 of my all time favorite movies. LOVE them!
"Don't marry a man unless you would be PROUD to have a son exactly like him." ~ Unknown
Marley and Me. x10!
Even my H cried at this movie. Actually, he was sobbing.
This was my pick too. This movie will make anyone cry and the acting is way above par.
I Love You Philip Morris.
Up is definitely an ugly cry movie for me.
For any dog lover, Homeward Bound is brutal. I hysterically sob every time.
Step Mom, P.S. I Love You and Harry Potters 6-7 also get to me.
I forgot about Homeward Bound. In that same vein, I present for consideration Far From Home: The Adventures of Yellow Dog. KILLED ME.
I cry pretty easily, but any movie with animals is pretty guarenteed to make me well up. It's a pretty popular joke with my coworkers because one time they saw me start crying when I was watching Happy Feet. Yes, animated movies about penguins almost getting eaten by whales make me cry. Safe to say I won't even attempt Marley & Me or War Horse.
But some I've seen lately that got me:
Beginners (up for a supporting actor oscar this year. Ewan McGregor and Christopher Plummer)
The Greatest (about a couple who have a teenage son who dies in a car wreck, and his knocked up girlfriend who ends up living with them - Susan Sarandon, Pierce Brosnan, and Carey Mulligan)
Bright Star (about poet John Keats and his muse/love - starring Abbie Cornish)
Schindlers List-- I can make it through the entire movie without crying but I totally lose it when everyone is placing rocks on the grave. Its beyond an ugly cry--its a all out hyperventilating cry.
Field of Dreams
Forrest Gump
The Fox and the Hound. omg.
Remember Me
A Walk to Remember..I cried for HOURS after that movie ended.
My Sisters Keeper - I cried throughout this one.
I was just about to post Field of Dreams! That movie gets me every time.
I must be an emotional, because I cry at most of the movies already mentioned in this thread. Anything with animals gets to me, most of the sports movies like Remember the Titans or We Are Marshall. Oh and forget about war movies like Band of Brothers (I know, not technically a movie) or Saving Private Ryan. Bawl like a baby.
Oh man, on a plane?! I got stuck on a bus trip and they showed P.S. I Love You. I had NO idea what it was about and ended up sobbing during the drive home. I wanted to throttle whoever stuck that damn DVD in.
And yes, add What Dreams May Come to my list! I haven't seen it in forever.
Add Sophie's Choice to my list. I'm surprised I forgot it, since I only saw it recently. I came across it on TV and asked Facebook friends if I should watch it. Two hours later I wanted to kill every single person who told me to watch it. Sobbed hysterically.
And add War Horse to the list of movies I refuse to watch. I can tell from the previews that I wouldn't do well.
I cry a lot and have cried during more movies than I can count!
But the automatic top of the list are Terms of Endearment, The Notebook, Steel Magnolias and Beaches. Easy easy winners.
The Notebook was the only one though that I swore never to watch again because I cried so hard. But DH came home just as I'd finished it and I was crying so hard that it actually made him curious and I watched it once more. Cried the same way all over again. LOL
Baking Blog
The first ten minutes of "Up" make me sob like no other movie has. It is so sweet and heartbreaking. I can't watch it without bawling...I think I scare my kids!
