Re: Wednesday randoms
This reminds me of the movie Shag.
"We're not goin' to Fort Sumter ... We're goin' to Myrtle Beach!" 1960's shenanigans ensue.
Hahahahaha! Nooooo, it was the owner of our company's jet. They're too cheap.
Anyone have $3.8 million?

No, but I'll be your best friend if you do- and get this house. OR we can all go in on it and have our own fabulous estates built,. Shoot on almost 70 acres..We can make this thing work Wop.
MissyNA posted this link on FB the other. Looks like you might have some competition, Wop. Bidding war, anyone? lol.
I will never understand the need for a house to have more bathrooms than bedrooms.
Oh dear. I don't get hung up on the choices people make when naming their babies, but my husband's friend became a dad yesterday and the name...
I know some of you might like this name, but the last name pairing is no good.
Cash C.
Rent it out.
Ha! I thought the bedroom count was weird considering the size of the home. I told Nick it was a deal breaker when I sent him the link.
Tell me about it. I told B that we will have to choose wisely when it's time to really look because we won't be going anywhere. Learned my lesson. I have a condo that I just employed a management company for because I won't sell it at half of what I paid for it. Sheesh
Kentwood looks good. Walker has nice ones too. But now Wop has me looking in Byron Center(blaming it on you:-)) . Might be too rich for our blood. We'll see. We have lots to choose from.
Have to get a job first!
Me neither! I don't like when the house is HUGE with 2 bathrooms either.
Eh, too much work. Plus the house we live in now is in a great neighborhood next to an award winning school, and we're put in a LOT of sweat equity into it.
My fingers are crossed that their last name isn't Casherson.
My aunts and uncles and dad are selling my grandpa's house. There was a cash offer on it, but my grandpa died about a week before closing, so the deal fell through (legal stuff about change in ownership, etc.)
My uncle texted me a couple days ago letting me know there was another offer and the possibility of yet another offer coming in the next day.
I really don't want his house to sell. He built in 1991. I've been going there pretty much every year since then, sometimes multiple times per year. I love that house (and the memories made there.)
ETA: I totally would have bought it, if it weren't for the 55+ age restriction.
If we were to move, we'd go to Byron (the house I drove by was in Byron Center). We wouldn't buy a newer home though. We'd rather have something older on a large lot. The house I looked at was a modest 3+ BR, 1+ bath built in 1968 with a pole barn with a huge yard. My biggest complaint about our current house is the size of the yard. It's not very big.
Or Cow.
I hear you. A yard is a must! I want to be able to shoo the dog and kids out to the backyard to play. I want to garden, B wants to do yardwork I guess lol. There is this 7br 3ba(full) house in Walker on a 1.5 acre lot that he is in like with. I told him if we would knock a few walls down and make it 5 beds, and 1 larger office(we both want office space) i'll be ok with it.
We looked at the pics and the master suite is like a hotel suite with the separate seating/tv room. I thought that was nice.
Yeah, I doubt we'll hike, even though I know it's great there. Lazies + scary bears = lots of boozing in the condo.
I'm thinking of making up a package to surprise L with--a "minibar" back full of candy, drinks, etc.
Last time I checked, that was not on Lake Michigan. If I'm spending $3.8M, I better be looking at Lake MI every fracking morning.
Haha! I like both of these. But I do not like the name Cash. Friends of ours had a baby almost a year and a half ago, and I still can't get over the name they chose. Major side-eye.
It sucks that senior living communities are given an exception under to the normally prohibited age discrimination under the Fair Housing Act.
So... condo for Kasa? LOL I have a lovely one located in Farmington Hills MI for a low low price. Better act fast! And in the spring time, the lil duckies waddle past your patio door and they go to the pond just steps from your new home!
Condos + No Kids + Kitties Only FTW!!!!
I haaaate yardwork too.
What I want is a big yard and to be rich enough to hire a landscape and lawncare company to keep it looking beautiful so I can enjoy if without the fuss of taking care of it.
I.am.bored.
Anyone tried any good wines lately?
Hehe... you're a good saleswoman, BnG! I think Farmington Hills would be a long commute to my office, though. Although, I do like ducks.
(I don't think we'll ever get a condo, though. B seems to enjoy a certain amount of yardwork. And neither the dog or kid has been completely crossed off the list yet.)
