Re: 1st day of March Randoms
I am such a hypocrite.
After a horrible experience on Spirit airlines years ago, I vowed to never fly them again.
But they are the cheapest (by 3 figures, overall) tickets I can find down to Myrtle Beach, so I think we're going to give them another go. DP, you like them, right? I think I may need some pointers. We'll be taking a car seat, maybe a stroller, maybe a PNP...hopefully they allow free checked baby crap like other airlines...
I wish! I had a really hard time getting out of bed this morning.
I so dont wanna be at work today either.
I wouldn't say that I liked them. I liked the price and my two experiences were fine. However, on both occasions, I flew nonstop to my destination and did not check anything. If you are flying nonstop, I wouldn't hesitate to fly them.
ETA: Also, one of my flights on Spirit was to MB.
Thanks for the Medicaid clarification, GRSP. Good to know.
Many government programs are big and clunky and not as effective as possible. I just wanted to note that this is not one component of why Medicare might be.
The zoo opened back up today. I am torn between taking Henry and waiting until it's not opening day with (I'm sure) a packed zoo.
Interesting (I think) items that I just read in Rapid Growth...
The Cheese Lady (often recommended by Diana) is going to be opening a Grand Rapids store in the fall.
Grand Rapids' restaurant week is moving to August this year.
Oh yeah, I knew about this and should have told you ladies about it!
I'll send you a "like" recommendation...
ETA: I'm not sure I did that completely correctly, but she has posted a bit about the new store opening in GR.
I can't imagine the zoo would be busy until about May. I think the only time it would be packed before summer season would be a free day or a sunny 60 degree day in March. You would probably make the workers' day if you went out today.
I was thinking along these lines as well. Unless today happens to be a really nice day over there, do you think the zoo would be super busy just because it's opening day?
50% of the residents probably didn't even realize that the zoo closed during the winter and 48% that did doesn't even realize they opened back up today. They haven't even sent out a new newsletter to their members.
Good for you!!
GVSU, I love this response.
GRSP, I think you might be giving other families too much credit.
okay, okay, guys... uncle.
Have fun at the zoo!
And btw, I have no experience whatsoever with GR Zoo/traffic levels.
I decided that 2 of my favorite meals are from the crock pot. Pot Roast and Turkey Legs. Both of which I will be having this weeks.
My new slipper are here as are DH's. No more cold feet in this house.
Mike is most likely going to Sao Paulo, Brazil in two weeks. I am very excited for him because the project he is on is very cool and the people that he is traveling with a great. However, I may be a tad bit jealous.
Oh, Hoek... is there any possibility of you joining him? I'm envious, too.
Wow, that sounds like a neat experience! I'd be jealous too.
Oh wow, what a neat opportunity! I would definitely be jealous.
Hi Ladies!
After reading up on today's randoms I am really hungry for a smoothie! I only had cereal for breakfast and a Carnation Instant Breakfast and banana for lunch...just not hungry. But a smoothie sounds yummy now!
Hoek, I would be jealous too! IS there a chance for you to go? What line of work is he in to bring him to such a cool destination?
GRSP...how was the zoo? Were there many animals out? I was thinking of taking N to the zoo today, but then we were invited over to a friend's house to play. I think we will go next week.
Just not the best use of our money right now. Blah. Plus, I would rather travel with him when he can actually spend time with us.
We didn't go. The parking lot had zero available spaces, so I drove on. Kidding.
WOP's weather forecast for next week made me decide to wait until then. Want to meet up there, Stargirl, and anyone else?
I'm in! Henry has never been to the zoo! Poor boy.
