DH is driving Betty the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I love the freaking thing but the 5.7L Hemi was a bad idea. It seemed great at the time(5 years ago) but had I known gas prices were going to go up, I would have rethought our purchase.
Last year we bought a 2011 Mini Cooper, she's orange so she's now known as Mini Ginger. Love, love, love, our mini. Thanks Spunky for helping K push me to go look at them. We get about 38 mpg, it's so comfy and like driving a go-kart. I love it!
2010 Kia Forte and a 2003 Chevy Malibu.
We both like the Forte more. It gets great gas mileage, has smooth handling and an attractive exterior. I feel like Kia's have come a long way.
The Malibu was the car I learned how to drive in as a teenager, and it has seen better days. I just drive it locally when H is in town.

I drive a 07 Toyota Yaris hatchback. We just paid it off so I love it even more. It gets about 37mpg and hasn't given me any problems yet. The only bad thing is it is 2 doors and with a kid it sort of sucks @ss. Besides it being really tiny the trunk is big because its a hatchback, but I don't carry a lot of crap so it works for me.
We have a 2006 Prius and a 2001 Audi A4 here in the UK, and I have a 2009 Honda Pilot that I left in the US with my parents.
The Prius is awesome for here in the UK, though I wish I got better mileage (a lot of people with small hatchback diesels are getting better mileage than I am). The Audi isn't great. The Pilot would be completely out of the question here.
I think the new Optimas are sexy!
2008 GMC Yukon and 2005 Saab 9-5t. I usually drive the Yukon, but it gets pretty sucky gas mileage. I love that it's roomy and comfortable and has a lot of nice features. We also haven't had to do anything except regular maintenance which isn't that expensive.
The Saab is nice and fun and sporty and gets better mileage but I still wish it got better. It also stinks that Saab basically no longer exists and maintenance costs are pricier and it's a little bit harder to find a mechanic. But overall we're happy!
H drives a 2005 Mazda rx8 which sucks on gas and thankfully he is a mechanic because that car likes to give us problems. I shudder to think what it would have cost us so far if he couldn't fix most things.
I just bought a 2012 Honda civic. It is amazing on gas mileage. I traded in my 98 accord for it. I loved that car, but being a northern car it had a ton of rust on it and I drive 88 miles round trip for work. Once the gas lines went we decided to buy a new one (we had been looking for a while before the gas lines broke). I love the car and the gas mileage. It's amazing for work.
2001 outback. Needing some work. My least favorite of the 3 subarus I've owned. I still think it's a great car.
2002 passat
The passat was a great deal that I couldn't pass up. H was moving back to the States over the summer, a friend of a friend was moving. We figured that even if the car sucked we could resell for a profit, even after paying to ship it to Hawaii. So far, though, it's been good.
I drive a V6 Accord. I like it. It's safe, reliable, and was reasonably priced (we bought new, and it didn't depreciate for quite some time - used ones were selling for more than we paid for new).
It's an all around useful sedan. I like four-doors, because I can keep stuff in the backseat, and, at some point, we might have kids, so that will make it easier in that area.
I know, I know... V6 is not as fuel efficient as a four cylinder. However, a four cylinder driven the way I drive is not much better than a V6 (as evidenced by the rental car I had last week that was averaging much worse mileage than I get with my car). Apparently, I'm an aggressive driver. And, honestly, that's not really going to change. It might reduce a bit over time, but I like being able to accelerate, and being able to drive in the mountains without running the engine too hard.
We've had it for five years now. I still enjoy driving it, and have no inclination to replace it any time soon. We have had no major repairs, and only scheduled maintenance, and we're up around 75k miles.
T's commuter car is a 2002 Toyota Corolla. We bought it from someone for cheap, so that's nice that it's paid for and what not. It as well gets great gas milage.
H drives a Chevy Silverado. Not great mpg, but we use it all the time for hauling things. If he has to drive far, we are better off renting a small car.
I drive a Chrysler Town and Country. We have 4 kids. It had the most room in it out of every other vehicle we looked at and we looked at everything. A few other vans got better milage, but didn't have as much room. We take a lot of road trips and I needed the storage space between the 6 of us, the gear and dogs. I love it and I'm very happy with the choice. We rented a toyota van when we went out of town once and I hated it.
My 98 v6 Honda accord was getting around 32mpg highway. It was amazing. We thought about buying another one, but I needed something with minimal miles due to my commute so a new civic made more sense financially.
I drive a 2010 Jeep Liberty, which gets about 19mpg highway, 15 city. I absolutely love it though. I had leased a 2008 one when they first remodeled the Liberty and loved it, so then I bought a 2010 when my lease was up.
H drives a 2006 BMW 3xi. I'm not sure what the gas mileage is, but I know it's better than my Jeep. It needs premium gas though (or at least 91 octane) so the cost and mpg pretty much balances out it seems.
I drive a 2006 Kia Sorrento, it gets about 18mpg in town and about 26mpg on the freeway. Its great for where we live and it holds quite a bit for camping and such.
E drives a 1996? Toyota T-100. I have no idea how it does on gas. He needs a new truck but this one is paid off and works so at this point that's all that matters.
I drive a 2008 Buick Enclave. It gets crappy gas mileage, but other than that I love it! And it was my dad's so I have a bit of a sentimental attachment to it and will probably cry like a damn baby if we ever get rid of it.
A drives a 2008 Dodge Ram monster truck. Ok so it's not a "real" monster truck, but holy crap that thing is huge. It's a diesel so it gets pretty decent mileage for being a monster truck. He loves it. Other than the hail damage it has on it right now from last summer any way...

A white Audi TT convertible! I love it. Love putting the top down, it's fun to drive, fast and has great pick up... Small and easy to park, and gets 30 miles to the gallon. I love it. I guess a con would be that it takes premium gas.
Dh has a ford escape. It's nice, we like it.
I drive a 2007 Toyota corolla and DH has a 2007 Chevy silverado. DH also has a motorcycle that I will be so glad for him to start riding again with warm weather coming! With the truck getting 15mpg and living 15 miles from post, it's a little expensive to me, but I do love his truck!
All are paid off and I really want a new Honda Accord but I will *try* to wait until we can buy it in cash & trade in. I like my car though because it's not too big or small and get 35mpg.

I drive a 2009 Lexus RX350 and LOVE it. It's gas mileage is usually in the low 20s (21-23) on the highways. I can't not have an SUV. It's just what I'm used to.
DH drives a 2004 Jeep Liberty and it's the biggest POS. I would NEVER recommend that anyone buy Jeep. It's costing us way more money than it's worth. The back window motors keep breaking and they keep installing the same faulty part at $350 a pop. We will be getting rid of that thing as soon as I get a job and we're hoping to get him a Toyota Tacoma or Titan. I've always driven Toyotas before and so has my mom and we never have problems with them. They're great cars. Lexus is in the same family as Toyota so that's probably why they're awesome too!

DH drives a 2011 Toyota Camry SE. I love love love looooovvveee his car. Its super sexy (for being just a sedan) and so incredibly comfortable. Even better, he got a fantastic deal on it.
I drive a 2009 Honda Odyssey. It's just the base model but I really love it. It drives so smooth and I love having a ton of space. It was hard to get used to at first since I previously had a tiny Rav4 but I can back it into our single car garage now ::pats self on back:: When I first got it, I was TERRIBLE at parking. I was the jerk parked almost sideways in parking spots or halfway out in the road because I didn't know how far out my bumper went lol.
I have an 09 CRV. It is my baby. Before this car, I had a 99 CRV and was still able to trade it in for a fair price with 250,000 miles on it. I am a Honda girl for life, that is for sure. I get about 30 MPG on the highway, and 22 in town. It's lower though because I go through heavy traffic to get to school.
H drives an 02 Accord. It is great for him and gets like 38 MPG on the highway, which he drives on most of the time to get to base.
If/when we get a second vehicle, we want something smaller and much more efficient. What we get depends upon where we are.
I'm sorry you have had such a bad experience. We've never had any issues with the four Jeeps we've had.
Im super surprised about the jeep comment... I drove a 2003 Jeep liberty until last year and never ever had any issues!! My dad still uses it to put the dog in and no problems. Also it's STILL worth 11k$ so it has really held its value.
We had a '91 & '05 Wrangler and an '04 and '05 Grand Cherokee. I've had to change my battery in my Cherokee and that's it. They said we could get about 11k out of it and I've got 120k miles on it. We traded in K's Cherokee for 5K and it had about 200k on it. I'd love a new Cherokee. Ours is comfy, has all the bells am whistles and is big enough to haul most things. I've fit an entire queen bed and dresser in it. Well, ok the box spring went on top but that's because it would fold up at all lol. Love Jeeps
I drive a 2005 VW Golf. I drive about 70 miles a day so it's good on gas and it's a tiny hatchback which makes me feel happy. I think I get close to 40mpg but I have some road rage so that could be optimistic. I'll probably drive it in to the ground and get back in an SUV in the next few years. Previous to that I drove a 1996 Cherokee and that thing was my baby. Shtity gas mileage but it was so reliable and had tons of miles on it. Love Jeeps!
H drives a 2009 335i and he loves it. I think he gets 19mpg? Obviously not why he bought the car.
Has your car stopped making weird noises lol??? Oh and did your husband take his back to the mechanic???
