Yeah, he was first diagnosed three years ago (I think) and then it was another year and a half until he was in remission. So he was still in the check up every three months phase of cancer treatment.
My mom just called and apparently, the areas where his cancer is now preclude him from surgery or radiation. His treatment is limited to chemo and a study drug that might keep the cancer from returning. However, because it returned so soon and because of the location, it's likely it will keep returning.
